PALM BEACH, FLORIDA: The former President of the United States, Donald Trump, has recently launched a new product line featuring the ‘God Bless the USA Bible.’

In a video posted on his Truth Social platform on Tuesday, he encouraged his supporters to purchase this Bible for $59.99, which is based on the patriotic song by country singer Lee Greenwood.

Trump has famously used this song as his entrance music at rallies and has even appeared with Greenwood at various events, according to The Associated Press.

Trump wrote on Truth Social, “Happy Holy Week! Let’s Make America Pray Again. As we lead into Good Friday and Easter, I encourage you to get a copy of the God Bless the USA Bible.”

What prompted Donald Trump to sell the Bible?

The current undertaking is a result of former President Trump's financial difficulties, which have intensified due to mounting legal expenses as he battles four criminal indictments and several civil charges.

Recently, a New York appeals court granted Trump a reprieve by suspending the collection of over $454 million he owes following a civil fraud judgment, provided that he can pay $175 million within 10 days.

Trump has already posted a $92 million bond in the aftermath of defamation lawsuits filed by writer E Jean Carroll, who accused him of sexual assault.

“All Americans need a Bible in their home, and I have many. It’s my favorite book," Trump said in the video. "I’m proud to endorse and encourage you to get this Bible. We must make America pray again.”

Marketing itself as “the only Bible endorsed by President Trump!” on its website, the new project is described as "Easy-to-read," including "large print" and a "slim design" that "invites you to explore God's Word anywhere, any time."

This Bible features the King James Version translation, as well as copies of the US Constitution, the Bill of Rights, the Declaration of Independence, and the Pledge of Allegiance. Additionally, it includes a handwritten chorus of the famous Greenwood song.

In recent times, the 77-year-old MAGA strongman has undertaken various business ventures, including a new line of Trump-branded sneakers, which he debuted at Sneaker Con in Philadelphia.

These sneakers, offered by 45Footwear, feature gold ‘Never Surrender High-Tops’ costing $399. The company also sells cologne, perfume, and other footwear under the Trump brand.

Furthermore, Trump has ventured into nonfungible tokens (NFTs), with a series of digital trading cards depicting him in cartoon-like images, such as an astronaut, a cowboy, and a superhero. In 2020, he reported earning between $100,000 and $1 million from the sale of these cards.

Trump has also published books that feature photos of his time in office and letters written to him over the years.

The product "is not political and has nothing to do with any political campaign," according to the Bible's website.

The website states, "GodBlessTheUSABible.com is not owned, managed, or controlled by Donald J Trump, The Trump Organization, CIC Ventures LLC or any of their respective principals or affiliates."

Instead, the website claims, "GodBlessTheUSABible.com uses Donald J Trump's name, likeness and image under paid license from CIC Ventures LLC, which license may be terminated or revoked according to its terms."

Despite being married three times, Donald Trump is still very popular among white evangelical Christians, who are among his steadfast supporters.

The former reality television star has an extensive history of behavior that goes against the teachings of Christ found in the Gospels, however, his following remains strong in this particular population demographic.

Internet chastised Donald Trump for selling the Bible at such exorbitant prices

One X user remarked: "How pathetic is this guy? He’s running for the highest position in the US government and is selling shoes and books to help him get there."

Another user said: "There is no grift so low that Trump won't attempt it. He's a conman through and through."

Another user wrote: "Straight blasphemy."

One user claimed: "If this doesn’t turn off conservative Christians, I don’t know what would."
