LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris appeared for an interview on the 'Call her Daddy' podcast aired on Sunday, October 6. The host Alex Cooper faced heat from people for asking soft questions to the vice president.

Harris talked about abortion and other issues that resonate with women, working in some digs at her GOP opponent Donald Trump during the interview, per HuffPost.

During the interview, Kamala Harris discussed the grit it takes to be a woman seeking public office, the toughness her mother instilled in her, and the importance of reproductive rights in this election.

Before starting the interview, host Alex Cooper said, "I am so aware I have a very mixed audience when it comes to politics, so please hear me when I say my goal today is not to change your political affiliation."



 

She mentioned that her team had reached out to Trump for an interview, adding, "If he also wants to have a meaningful, in-depth conversation about women’s rights in this country, then he is welcome on ‘Call Her Daddy’ anytime."

Harris criticized Trump for calling himself a "protector" of women and responded to attacks on her stepfamily by Republican Sarah Huckabee Sanders.

She addressed Sanders' comments and other Republican insults on her identity, which she said resembled a 1950s caricature of a family.

Harris said, "I feel sorry for (Sanders) and I’m going to tell you why. Because I don’t think she understands that there are a whole lot of women out here who one, are not aspiring to be humble; two, a whole lot of women out here who have a lot of love in their life, family in their life, and children in their life."

During the podcast, Kamala Harris also addressed comments made by Donald Trump's running mate, JD Vance, about "childless cat ladies," whom he claimed don't have a serious investment in America's future.

She slammed him, saying, "I just think it’s mean and mean-spirited. I think that most Americans want leaders who understand that the measure of their strength is not based on who you beat down; the real measure of the strength of a leader is based on who you lift up."



 

Harris highlighted her relationships as an example of a "modern family" during the podcast, stating, "We each have our family by blood and then we have our family by love. And I have both. And I consider it to be a real blessing.

She added, "And I have two beautiful children: Cole and Ella, who call me ‘Momala'. We have a very modern family, my husband’s ex-wife is a friend of mine."

Throughout the interview, Harris repeatedly addressed Trump and his views on abortion access in America, calling his claim that, in some states, babies are executed after birth a "boldfaced lie."

She added that Trump's self-description as a protector of women is false and delved into her familiar critique of his successful efforts to overturn Roe v Wade, the Supreme Court case that guaranteed a constitutional right to an abortion.

Several internet users criticized Alex Cooper and Kamala Harris after their 'Call Her Daddy' interview aired on Sunday. Many took jabs at the interview, with some calling it the "most despicable interview yet."

A user wrote on X, "The most despicable interview yet. This woman has no idea about the suffering going on in America. But what is truly evident is … she doesn’t care," while another added, "They're trying to ignite young female voters because they are struggling with most other demographics."



 



 

One person also stated, "You don't go on a s*x show if you're winning," whereas another mentioned, "Going on 'Call Her Daddy' should be a career ender."



 



 

A user also wrote, "Children and babies were dying in North Carolina when Kamala Harris was doing this stupid show," while another commented, "Kamala is so blatantly fake. I really can’t believe people fall for it."
