WASHINGTON, DC: Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) on Friday, March 29, attacked billionaire Elon Musk on the social media platform X after Musk accused that Democrats are trying to 'import voters', according to The Hill

AOC posted on X, "You’re literally an immigrant." She shared it in reaction to Musk's assertion that the Biden administration is considering "handing out green cards to illegal immigrants", which was made in response to a Daily Caller story that was reposted.

AOC calls out Elon Musk for unfounded immigration claim

Notably, the Biden administration is allegedly considering extending the cancellation of deportation for specific illegal immigrants, according to a Politico article that was reinterpreted in the headline of The Daily Caller.

Moreover, with the Department of Justice's cancellation of the removal procedure, qualified illegal individuals can obtain permanent residency with the express consent of an immigration court. The Justice Department estimates that each year, around 4,000 persons are given the right to have their removals canceled.

The Politico article also included a list of restrictive measures that administration officials were considering, such as limitations on asylum. However, the major point of the article was that no announcements had been made and none were anticipated very soon.

Notably, White House officials have repeatedly cautioned that stories of policies being considered by the administration do not always mean that action would soon be taken, but rather that officials are continuously considering all of their options.

In the absence of congressional action, President Biden and several members of his administration have maintained that the bipartisan Senate border policy agreement was the administration's 'Plan A' and that there is no predetermined 'Plan B'.

Senior White House adviser Tom Perez informed The Hill on Tuesday, March 26, "What we tried to do, as you know, was work collaboratively in the Senate to get a bipartisan bill. And it failed because the former president instructed Republicans ‘don’t give Joe Biden a victory.’ That’s unfortunate."

Internet trolls AOC for slamming Elon Musk

Many people on the Internet took a jibe at AOC as she slammed Elon Musk for an unfounded immigration claim on X post.

A user posted, "Nothing false about it."

One added, "LEGAL immigrant. Go make some drinks."

A person also wrote, "You're misusing the word "immigrant" on purpose to deceive your supporters. Repent."

Whereas one stated, "Hey AOC, text me back, you’re back on social acting crazy again beloved."

A person also posted, "Chill, he isn't gonna date you."

While one stated, "Elon has been an American citizen since 2002. You should research stuff. 22 years!"
