WASHINGTON, DC: Rep Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez took jibes at GOP vice presidential candidate JD Vance for "manspreading" during a recent episode of 'Fullsend Podcast'. However, an earlier photograph of hers has surfaced where she is seen sitting in the same posture.

Former president Donald Trump announced on July 15 that he had picked Sen JD Vance of Ohio as his running mate. Vance was once a Trump critic who later became a loyal ally. He has also become the first millennial to join a major-party ticket, as per Daily Mail.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez slams JD Vance for 'manspreading' on seat

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez reacted with disdain to the podcast clip in which JD Vance was sitting comfortably in a wide chair with his legs spread in a relaxed position.

She reposted the picture on her X account and wrote, "Why are you sitting like that?" However, an X account named Clown World shared a side-by-side picture of Vance and AOC where the latter is seen sitting in a similar posture.

Ocasio-Cortez's photo is from a campaign event from October 2022 ahead of the contentious midterms. It was a contest where the Republicans captured a majority in the House of Representatives and the Democrats maintained control of the Senate.

Vance and Ocasio-Cortez have been taking jibes at each other for a long time. In 2021, according to the Guardian, Vance said about Ocasio-Cortez, "One of the politicians that I criticized is AOC. Maybe AOC hasn’t found the right person, whatever the case may be. AOC has said basically – if you look at her public remarks on this – that it’s immoral to have children because of climate change concerns. Right? This is, let’s just be direct, a sociopathic attitude towards family."

He also took jibes at her in 2021 during his "childless cat ladies" comment. He said about senior Democrats in Congress and the Biden administration, "A bunch of childless cat ladies who are miserable at their own lives and the choices that they’ve made and so they want to make the rest of the country miserable too."

He added, "It’s just a basic fact, You look at Kamala Harris, Pete Buttigieg, AOC, the entire future of the Democrats is controlled by people without children. And how does it make any sense that we’ve turned our country over to people who don’t really have a direct stake in it?"

Internet grills Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez for her 'hypocrisy'

Several internet users slammed Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez as she took jibes at JD Vance for "manspreading" during a recent episode of 'Fullsend Podcast'. They  called her a "hypocrite" because she too was sitting in a similar position.

A user wrote on X, "Hypocrite much?" while one added, "She keeps proving how f***kng dumb she is."

A person also stated, "AOC, tackling the important issues of our day."

One mentioned, "AOC is confused."

A user further wrote, "Rules for thee, but not for me."

Another commented, "Hypocrisy is lost on hypocrits."

A person remarked, "AOC should be obscene and not heard."

Another said, "AOC could be the biggest idiot ever in Congress!"
