WASHINGTON, DC: New York Rep Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) and several other Democratic congresswomen have found themselves on the unfavorable side of social media after appararing in a dance video titled 'Choose Your Fighter' in honor of Women’s History Month.

On Thursday, March 6, some congresswomen, including AOC, Katherine Clark, and Jasmine Crockett, appeared in a 20-second clip highlighting their key achievements.

After influencer and cookbook author Sulhee Jessica Woo posted the video to her 5.6 million followers, the video was brutally mocked by many online, including the White House.

Apart from their achievements, the video also included trivia and fun facts about the female leaders, the New York Post reported.

White House's response to video

Soon after the video was uploaded, the Donald Trump administration took to social media to respond to the trend with their own video.

The White House included a montage of President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance, with the caption, “America Chose Its Fighters Last November.”

The GOP's video featured several other important government officials, including Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, who was on horseback, and Attorney General Pam Bondi.

While Bondi’s clip was taken from a press conference, border czar Tom Homan was seen walking away from a helicopter in the video.

It also included Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, FBI Director Kash Patel, and Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick.

AOC and other Democratic congresswomen roasted over ‘Choose Your Fighter’ video

Social media users were left perplexed with AOC and other Democratic congresswomen's TikTok video celebrating Women's History Month, as some asked in bewilderment, "What happened to the democrats?"

One of the users commented online, "And we wonder why voters picked business people and people with common sense to lead the country instead of people who believe this shows what they can do for their community members!!"

"When you have no platform or leader , I guess people will resort to this," said another, before noting, "Sad! This party needs to regroup and also fire their consultants."

"This is not what they were elected to do," firmly reminded another disgruntled user.

One person wrote, "They are getting very desperate and don't even have the smarts to be embarrassed about it…..they are so far out into the woods that it is going to be YEARS before they find their way out…..wow."

"No one who is remotely sane would vote for these “people,"" declared another.

Someone else noted, "If they got real work done instead of pretending to and stopped finding a gimmick to get over like a wrestler maybe they wouldnt be a laughing stock the last few years."

Some people flocked to the comments section of the TikTok video, where they dubbed the entire trend as "ridiculous."

"Keep digging that hole for yourselves ladies!😂," said one individual, while another commented, "The democrats are sinking to a new low what a joke 😂 👍👍 TRUMP👍👍😎."

One person asked, "What happened to the democrats? 🤣 They have no leader, no message & no direction.. Trump really did destroy the Democrat party.. Midterms are going to be brutal for Dems."

"This is ridiculous. No wonder Dems only have a 21% approval rating in Congress. Mean-spirited pouters is what they've become," another critic remarked,

Someone else wondered, "I wonder what will happen if they spend more time working??"

"Would be interesting if any of yall actually FOUGHT," added another, before continuing, "Or am I supposed to be choosing who would pull off a pink blazer the best 🙄."

"Just when you think the Democrats couldn’t be more embarrassing, they go out and prove us wrong. This is ridiculous," declared a disgruntled social media user.
