Trump reveals 'two people' Joe Biden blamed for Dems' 2024 loss and Kamala Harris isn't one of them

WASHINGTON, DC: In a revealing new interview, President Donald Trump shared the surprising details of his conversation with former President Joe Biden following the Democrats' 2024 election defeat.
According to Trump, when he visited the White House after his win in the presidential race, Biden was "very angry" and blamed two specific individuals for the Democrats' downfall — but then Vice President Kamala Harris was not among them.
Trump shares Joe Biden blamed Barack Obama and Nancy Pelosi for 2024 election failure
“I asked him, I said, ‘So who do you blame?’ Because he was very angry, you know, he was a very angry guy, actually. And he said, ‘I blame Barack,’” Trump told Spectator World, referring to former President Barack Obama.
Trump went on to say, “And he said, ‘And I also blame [former House Speaker] Nancy Pelosi.’ I said, ‘What about the vice president?’ He said, ‘No, I don’t blame her,’ which was interesting.”

The conversation, as relayed by Trump, points to a tense and frustrated moment in the aftermath of the election, where Biden held Obama and Pelosi accountable for the party’s failure, despite Harris being the Democrats' nominee after Biden's early exit from the race due to age and health concerns.
“He didn’t blame [Harris]. He blamed … he told me he blamed those two people,” Trump added, shedding light on Biden's perspective after a bruising campaign season.
Obama, who had initially urged Democratic supporters to rally behind Biden after his lackluster debate performance in June 2024, reportedly grew increasingly disillusioned with Biden as concerns about his physical and mental fitness grew, New York Post reported.

By mid-July, Obama had met with Pelosi to discuss their worries about Biden’s ability to continue in the race. Despite their attempts to shore up support for the president, Biden ultimately dropped out of the race on July 21, endorsing Harris as his successor.
However, Harris was unable to defeat Trump in the months that followed.

Biden previously acknowledged that pressure from Pelosi and other Democratic leaders played a role in his decision to step down from the race, but he largely refrained from placing blame on Obama.
Trump's account, however, suggests a different narrative - one in which Obama and Pelosi were seen as pivotal figures in the Democrats' failed 2024 campaign.
