WASHINGTON, DC: Alina Habba, attorney and spokeswoman for Donald Trump, reiterated her claim of enduring childhood hardships, stating that she had to "survive" on peanuts and Coca-Cola as a child.

Her remarks, which went viral over the weekend, were made at Turning Point USA's Young Women's Leadership Summit.

"My first home when I was born was across the street from a McDonald's," Habba explained. "My father used to take the money that he could have and got a Coke and a pack of peanuts every day so that we could survive." The claim sparked widespread ridicule on social media.

On Monday, June 10, during an interview with podcaster Charlie Kirk, Habba addressed the mockery, attributing it to "Trump derangement syndrome" (TDS). "Maybe normalizing me is a problem," she said. "People have TDS, and I think to some extent I'm an extension of that."

Habba further defended her story against critics who attempted to fact-check her personal experiences. "I know that there were comments that were just beyond comprehension, trying to break down, fact-check me. I really can't be fact-checked on my life," she asserted. "I'm happy to break it down further for everybody and all the nastiness."

Reflecting on her upbringing, Habba acknowledged that her life was far from perfect but emphasized that it unfolded as it was meant to. "No, my life is not perfect, was not perfect, but it was the way God meant it to be," she concluded.
