Amy Schumer deletes all pre-weight loss photos, says she did it ‘for no reason’
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Amy Schumer has hit the reset button on her social media life. The Trainwreck star, 44, stunned fans Tuesday after wiping her entire Instagram grid clean—deleting every post from her page and leaving just one photo that showed off her new look and confident post-weight loss glow.
“I actually left my house tonight. Who’s proud?” Schumer captioned her comeback post, featuring her in a Valentino Red Silk-Wool Heart Mini Dress and Chanel shoes. “I’m feeling good and happy. Deleted my old pics for no reason!”
Her refresh was complete: hours earlier, Schumer had teased the move by sharing a screenshot of her very first Instagram post to her Stories, writing, “My first ever insta post. I'm gonna erase them all cause why not?”
Amy Schumer’s Instagram reset follows weight loss transformation
The sudden digital cleanse comes just weeks after Schumer shared a carousel of images from her weight loss journey on October 30. “I’m feeling strong and like myself,” she wrote at the time, marking a confident new chapter in her ongoing health evolution.
The comedian has been candid about her body image struggles, health challenges, and use of weight management medications. She previously opened up about undergoing liposuction in 2022 and her difficult experience trying Ozempic, the popular diabetes and weight loss drug.
“I have this gene, GDF15, which makes you extremely prone to nausea, which is why I was so sick during my pregnancy,” Schumer told Howard Stern during a January interview. “So, I tried Ozempic almost three years ago, and I was, like, bedridden. I was vomiting and then you have no energy. But other people take it, and they’re all good. So, God bless them.”
From Ozempic to Mounjaro: Amy Schumer finds balance and healing
In the years that followed, Schumer found a treatment combination that worked for her. By March 2025, she had started taking Mounjaro, another GLP-1 medication. She told fans in an Instagram video that she was having a “great” experience with it and felt stronger than ever.
The actress, who has spoken openly about endometriosis, perimenopause, and Cushing syndrome, has also become a vocal advocate for women’s health. After revealing her diagnosis in 2024, she took to Instagram to call out the stigma around women’s changing bodies.
“The shaming and criticism of our ever-changing bodies is something I have dealt with and witnessed for a long time,” Schumer said. “I want so much for women to love themselves and be relentless when fighting for their own health in a system that usually doesn’t believe them.”
Amy Schumer starts fresh with confidence
Schumer’s fans flooded her lone new post with supportive comments, praising her bold move to start fresh without explanation.
While she claimed she deleted everything “for no reason,” many saw it as a symbolic gesture of renewal—a break from years of public scrutiny and online commentary about her body.
