NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Andrew Garfield has shared his thoughts on his ‘Spider-Man’ successor, Tom Holland.

The 42-year-old actor, who was seen as Peter Parker in the 2012 film ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’ and the 2014 sequel ‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2’, spoke with Page Six on Wednesday, July 29, at the screening of his new film ‘The Magic Faraway Tree’ in New York City.

Andrew Garfield calls Tom Holland 'an incredible actor'

At the event, Garfield said of Holland, “I think Tom is an incredible actor playing that character, and I love him and support him, and just want the best for him. I love Tom. I love Spider-Man; I always have loved Spider-Man since I was three years old.”

“I’m very, very excited to see the film,” he asserted.

Andrew Garfield loved working alongside Tom Holland and Tobey Maguire in 'Spider-Man: No Way Home'

Like Holland, Garfield was Tobey Maguire’s successor, who was seen in the titular role between 2002 and 2007 in the original ‘Spider-Man’ film trilogy.

Andrew Garfield accepts he's 'addicted' to his devices

Meanwhile, during the July 29 event, Garfield talked about the world’s dependency on technology and devices as his new film, releasing on August 21, focuses on the fixation on technology.

“I’m as addicted as anybody to my devices, and I do everything I can to try and mitigate it. It’s very hard because they are addictive by nature. They’ve created a dependency, and it’s tough,” the ‘Hacksaw Ridge’ actor stated.

He further said, “I think the last big commodity on the planet right now is time, space, and quiet, and I think that’s going to become more and more valuable as time goes on now because our attention’s been captured and stolen by these things all the time.”

Andrew Garfield says he 'wasn’t surprised' Amazon dropped 'Artificial'

This came after Garfield disclosed his reaction to Amazon MGM Studios dropping his movie ‘Artificial’.

The Oscar-nominated actor told Variety, “I was and I wasn’t [surprised]. I think there are certain things that fit certain places and don’t fit other places and they [Amazon] were nothing but supportive and nothing but encouraging while we were making the film.”

“I’m grateful that they’ve helped the film to find the home that it was meant to find,” Garfield added. The Luca Guadagnino-directed film, which deals with Sam Altman's sudden firing and subsequent reinstatement as OpenAI CEO, has been acquired by Neon.
