ANAHEIM, CALIFORNIA: Anne Hathaway is missing her 'The Princess Diaries' co-star Julie Andrews. . The actress attended ‘D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event’ to accept her Disney Legends honor.
She couldn't help but share that she will miss Andrews' 'humor' and her personality. 'The Devil Wears Prada 2' star’s comments came after Andrews shared that she would not reprise the role of Queen Clarisse Renaldi, the grandmother of Mia Thermopolis.

At the event, Hathaway shared, “She’s so warm, and she’s so gracious, and she’s so funny,” about Andrews. Speaking about the film, Hathaway is all set to step back into the shoes of her iconic character and is ready to return to the fictional nation of Genovia.
She then added that she will most miss Andrews’ "sense of humor" when the cameras finally roll. “She brings magic with her wherever she goes. She’s this amazing love conductor,” Hathaway said.
“People feel so safe loving her, and she’s so beautiful at receiving love and giving it back to people. And who doesn’t want to be around people like that?” "So lucky! Am I that my first Studio picture ever starred perhaps the greatest Disney Legend of all time, incomparable Julie Andrews," she added.

Hathaway recalled, "So much fun though. When I was just 17, from the time I met her at the first read-through of The Princess Diaries. She showed me that kindness, patience, friendliness, graciousness, Good Humor, and hard work are an unbeatable combination."
She added, "And that little princess film that we made together became my first Disney classic."
Julie Andrews confirms she won’t return for ‘Princess Diaries 3’
During an interview, the 90-year-old shared, “I think I probably passed... I think I’m retired, really, would be about the best description for that." “(The film’s creative team) asked me all last year if I would be keen to do it. It was very, very hard to say ‘no,’ but I did because I thought I had a wonderful ride," she stated.
"And this one I felt would flourish very well and wouldn’t need Granny going in there at my age," she added.
Hathaway previously told Entertainment Tonight that she would do anything to make Andrews return for the third instalment. “We would go to where she was and put a green screen behind her and just make it happen," Andrews has decided not to return.
