Anthony Anderson mocks Matt Gaetz's new look after he sparks plastic surgery rumors at RNC
MILWAUKEE, WISCONSIN: Anthony Anderson has commented on Florida Congressman Matt Gaetz's new look at the Republican National Convention (RNC) and his alleged use of plastic surgery.
As a screengrab from Gaetz's speech appeared on a recent episode of 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!', guest host Anderson said, "Now, if you’re not familiar with Matt Gaetz — this is what he usually looks like,” Anderson said as a photo of Gaetz from several days ago appeared on the screen.
“And this is what he looked like last night,” he said of the politician's appearance at the event on Wednesday, July 18.
Anthony Anderson says Matt Gaetz is trying to look 'as young as the girls' he dates
At the Republican Nation Event in Milwaukee, Gaetz appeared with a noticeably tauter, plumper cheekbones and unmoving complexion.
However, the Florida firebrand's office has dismissed rumors of undergoing plastic surgery, according to the New York Post.
Continuing his humorous take at Gaetz's apparent transformation, Anderson said, “Woah! I mean, he looks like he’s trying to be an NBA player’s third wife.”
Referring to the alleged misogynist remarks made by former President Donald Trump in the infamous Access Hollywood tape, Anderson said, “Now, if he’s not too careful, Trump’s gonna move on him like a b****.”
After more footage of Gaetz delivering a speech at an event was aired, the actor said, "It's OK, Matt. There's nothing wrong with trying to look as young as the girls you date."
"Allegedly! Allegedly! I don't wanna get sued on my last day here!" he quickly added.
Matt Gatez's legal troubles
Amid accusastions of dating underage girls, Gaetz has denied any wrongdoing, according to OK Magazine.
However, these allegations have prompted an in-depth inquiry by the House Ethics Committee and investigation into the congressman include various allegations of including sexual misconduct, sex trafficking and illicit drug use.
The scrutiny was intensified by remarks from former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, who insisted Gaetz should face consequences, stating, "You can't sleep with underage women and think you can get away with it."
The New York Times initially reported that Gaetz allegedly had a relationship with a young girl, 17, and paid for her to travel with him, potentially, violating federal sex trafficking laws.
During his guest-hosting stint, Anderson took a moment to express gratitude to the audience for their support.
He also issued a playful warning to regular host Jimmy Kimmel as he joked, "I'll be back to guest host when Donald Trump gets reelected and sends Jimmy to Guantanamo Bay."
