I don’t have many words other than to say I’m truly devastated and deeply sorry to everyone who showed up to the main stage, and to those watching the livestream at home. Having the opportunity to perform the new ÆDEN show and share all the new music and art… pic.twitter.com/PSqH2lPdRF
Anyma shares emotional statement after sudden cancellation
Shortly after the announcement, Anyma took to social media to share a deeply personal message with fans.
“I’m heartbroken,” he began.
“I don’t have many words other than to say I’m truly devastated and deeply sorry to everyone who showed up to the main stage, and to those watching the livestream at home.”
The DJ went on to explain just how much the performance meant to him, especially after months of preparation.
“Having the opportunity to perform the new ÆDEN show and share all the new music and art means more to me than I can express,” he wrote.
“It’s incredibly painful, especially after working day and night for the past year, not just me, but my team and the @coachella crew, who poured everything into this.”
Safety concerns force last-minute decision at Coachella
The cancellation came nearly 20 minutes after Anyma was scheduled to take the stage, leaving many fans confused and waiting for updates.
A statement posted on Instagram clarified the situation.
“Due to strong wind conditions affecting Anyma’s stage build, he is unable to perform tonight,” it read. “Coachella and Anyma have made this decision together with your safety as the priority.”
Anyma echoed that sentiment in his own message, stressing that safety had to come first.
“Safety was and always will be our biggest concern,” he wrote.
“The dangerous winds not only prevented us and Coachella from building our stage, but also made it impossible for my entire live setup and performance to operate safely.”
ÆDEN debut halted despite year-long preparation
The canceled set was meant to debut Anyma’s ambitious new audiovisual project, ÆDEN.
The show had been in the works for nearly a year, making the last-minute decision even more difficult.
ÆDEN features the single ‘Bad Angel,’ with K-pop superstar and BLACKPINK member LISA starring in the music video.
“We’ve done everything in our control to build the show I’ve worked an entire year on,” he had earlier written in the caption of his post. “Safety always comes first and we’re working on a solution now.”
Speaking about the project in a recent interview, Anyma described the level of detail and effort behind it.
“It’s not just music, what you do; it’s music, visuals, and performance at the highest level,” he said.
“Everything is crafted to perfection… and you need dedication, stubbornness, and really to focus to make this stuff like you do it.”
No Coachella reschedule yet, but Anyma promises updates for fans
Unfortunately for fans, Anyma confirmed that there are no available slots left for him to perform the ÆDEN show during the festival weekend.
“Unfortunately, there are no other slots available for me to perform the ÆDEN show this weekend,” he said.
Still, he hinted that he is trying to find a way to make it up to fans.
“I’m working on a solution to bring you some music at least, but I don’t want to impose on the other artists’ slots. Updates soon.”
He closed his message with another apology, saying “I’m so sorry.”
