NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Arnold Schwarzenegger has left the internet nostalgic and mourning about the past glory when he appeared to sport a gray beard while filming his upcoming Christmas movie ‘The Man with the Bag’. 

The 77-year-old ‘Terminator’ actor, who was never short of accolades for his bodybuilding skills, was recently spotted in the Big Apple, filming for his action-comedy flick produced by Amazon MGM Studios and directed by Adam Shankman, according to Page Six.

In a video that recently went viral on social media, Arnold Schwarzenegger was videographed walking slowly through the streets of New York on Tuesday, December 17. 

In a few photographs, the former Mr Olympia was seen sporting a Christmas-themed sweater, completing his look in buff trousers and a woolen beanie. 

In some other photographs, Schwarzenegger looked resolute like Santa as he sported the iconic red jacket of the Christmas mascot. 

However, it was the actor’s graying hair and beard, coupled with his slow gait, that got the internet’s attention as netizens quizzed when did he become so old. 

On the same day, the ‘Commando’ actor took to his Instagram to post about filming the movie and raved about working with Shankman and co-star Alan Ritchsonn. 

He wrote, “It is fantastic to be shooting 'The Man with the Bag' with @alanritchson,” before adding, “Our director @adamshankman is one of the funniest directors I’ve worked with. New York City is an amazing host, working with @amazonmgmstudios is a joy, and I can’t wait to share all of this Christmas cheer with each and every one of you.”

Arnold Schwarzenegger's fans were left flabbergasted after the 77-year-old actor was spotted rocking a gray beard while he was filming for his movie 'The Man With The Bag'. While some of the fans mourned that their childhood heroes were getting older, some even wondered what happened to the legend. 

One of the social media users asked, "What happened to him man."

"It’s sad seeing our childhood heroes get old man…💔," said another fan.

Someone else added, "This is not a negative, but a really really good reminder. You can have the best genetics, reach the highest peaks of muscle and health, have all the money/doctors/cures/shortcuts in the world, and aging will still come for you. You will, with luck, reach a point that walking is slow. That moving is its own chore. That walking up and down steps is its own obstacle. Nothing you do will stop you from arriving here other than dying early. It’s not sad. It is a recognition. Life is short. Youth is wasted. Embrace it."

Another fan said, "This depresses the hell outta me. Age waits for no one. He looks terrible. He’s old but not that old. I’ve seen 80 year olds on the pickleball court looking a decade younger."

Another social media user commented on him walking with bodyguards, "I would have never recognized him. Must be kind of sad to need bodyguards to take a walk."

However, a fan praised the actor for looking impressive even if he is moving towards 80, saying, "He's almost 80, hope I look that good at that age."

"Wow, I can remember when he wouldn’t have needed any 🤯," noted someone else about his bodyguards.
