WASHINGTON, DC: Independent presidential candidate Robert F Kennedy Jr delivered a scathing critique of the extreme polarization gripping the nation, asserting that neither President Joe Biden nor former President Donald Trump offered a viable solution to unite Americans, on Monday, April 8.

During his appearance on 'The Rubin Report', RFK Jr lambasted the two leading candidates, accusing them of exacerbating the deep political divide for their own gain.

RFK Jr accuses Donald Trump and Joe Biden of feeding on the polarization among Americans

"They’re both feeding on that. That’s how they get elected by polarization," told Kennedy to host Dave Rubin.

He asserted, "Both of them feed on the polarization. Both of them are saying the principal reason you should vote for me is if you vote for the other guy, democracy will be over. There's no way, if that's what you're telling the public, that you're going to be capable of ending the polarization."

RFK Jr continued, "If you want to talk about assaults on our democracy, the big danger to our democracy is that we’re going to get torn apart by this toxic polarization… that is worse than even probably any time since the American Civil War."

Moreover, he criticized both Biden and Trump for their failure to address critical national issues such as the escalating national debt, what he described as an "addiction to war," and the soaring healthcare costs associated with the rise in chronic diseases.

While acknowledging the complexity of these challenges, RFK Jr remained resolute in his belief that viable solutions existed, ones that resonated with the majority of Americans but were noticeably absent from the discourse of the two major candidates, as per Fox News.

RFK Jr claimed Joe Biden was much worse to democracy than Donald Trump

RFK Jr recently intensified his critique of Biden, alleging that the POTUS posed a more significant threat to democracy than Trump.

Talking to CNN, the independent presidential candidate remarked, "I can make the argument that President Biden is much worse. And the reason for that is President Biden is the first candidate in history, the first president in history that has used the federal agencies to censor political speech or censor his opponent."

He added, "The greatest threat to democracy is not somebody who questions election returns but a President of the United States who will use the power of his office to force the social media companies Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, to open a portal and give access to that portal to the FBI, CIA, the IRS, the NIH, to censor his political critics."

RFK Jr doubled down on his claims during an appearance on 'Fox & Friends'.

He noted, "What Trump said about… questioning the election and… to the extent that he engaged… in an effort to overthrow that, of course, that's a threat to democracy, but it is not the worst threat undermining the First Amendment of our Constitution and then weaponizing the federal agencies, to get his opponents off the ballot."

Internet reacts to Robert F Kennedy Jr's thoughts regarding Biden and Trump feeding on the nation's polarization

One wrote, "As if @RobertKennedyJr doesn’t - please. He can’t unite anything," and another added, "Nor can Bobby Jr bring together the Kennedy family."

A person remarked, "And Pseudo-Bobby has all the half-truths and fake horror stories anyone might need to solve the problem and bring people together."

"It's always the same BS. Grievances, conspiracy theories, platitudes, and empty promises. No real workable solutions," declared someone else.

An individual offered, "Sane and reasonable can’t find common ground with insane and unreasonable. That’s where we are."

The road ahead for Robert F Kennedy Jr

Recent polling data suggests RFK Jr may pose a significant challenge to the two-party dominance.

Averaging close to 10 percent in polls, the independent candidate has emerged as the highest polling third-party candidate since Ross Perot in 1992, according to The Hill/Decision Desk HQ. His popularity in early polls has sparked speculation about his potential impact on the race.

RFK Jr is bound to face daunting odds in his bid for the presidency, with historical precedent indicating the challenges third-party candidates encounter in gaining electoral traction. Perot, despite being the most successful third-party candidate in modern history, only received about 19 percent of the popular vote and won no electoral votes.
