Ashton Kutcher sets record straight on rumors he and wife Mila Kunis don’t shower
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Ashton Kutcher has clarified all the misconceptions about his and his wife Mila Kunis’ bathing habits.
The actor was speaking with PEOPLE on Monday, Jan 19, regarding his preparation for his role as The Corporation for the body horror thriller ‘The Beauty’ when he addressed a statement he made during a 2021 interview.
Ashton Kutcher calls rumors 'craziest thing of all time'
Around five years ago, Kutcher on Dax Shepard’s 'Armchair Expert' podcast had reportedly said that he cleans his "armpits and my crotch daily and nothing else ever" while his actress wife claimed that she "didn’t shower very much".
Now, the 'That '70s Show' star said, “It was the craziest thing of all time. We made a comment at one point, and people were like, 'Does he stink? Does he smell?’”
Kutcher then told his costars Anthony Ramos and Jeremy Pope, “There was a comment on a podcast, so long ago… and people are like, 'They don't shower.' I'm like, 'I shower, I go to the gym, I shower.’”
Ramos then jokingly added, “I can confirm my boy showers.”
Mila Kunis said she did not 'wash' her children daily
The clarification from the ‘No Strings Attached’ actor came after in July 2021, Kunis told Shepherd that after having children she “didn't wash them every day. I wasn't that parent that bathed my newborns — ever.”
Kutcher had then added, “Now, here's the thing: If you can see the dirt on them, clean them. Otherwise, there's no point.”
The 47-year-old also revealed at the time that he’s “got a bar of Lever 2000 that delivers every time. Nothing else. I do have a tendency to throw some water on my face after a workout to get all the salts out.”
Ashton Kutcher talks about body transformation
Meanwhile, during his conversation with People, Kutcher spoke about his physical transformation for the new role.
He revealed, “Let's get clear about it, I've been sitting in an office chair doing venture capital. And so, I was like, 'Oh, my gosh. What am I gonna do?' So I got a trainer — his name is Robbie Egan — and Robbie comes to my house at five o'clock in the morning before I start work and beats me up.”
The father-of-two further mentioned that apart from getting in shape, he also “got a haircut, which I hadn't in a while. I was like, 'Alright, I gotta clean this thing up.' And then I showed up to work.”
“Luckily, we started shooting Jan. 20 last year, and I always do dry January, so I had 20 days of not drinking before, and I started to really tighten up. I went into Speedo mode,” Kutcher added.
