MILWAUKEE, WISCONSIN: The Trump family attended the Republican National Convention in full force, but Barron Trump, Donald Trump's youngest son, was absent at the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee during his longest-ever acceptance speech on July 18.

During his speech, Trump declared, "We love our Barron." However, the 18-year-old was not seen with his mother, Melania Trump, who entered the VIP box to cheers of her own, nor was he seen walking onto the convention floor with his father and siblings during the event.

When the family appeared on stage following Donald Trump's speech, Barron was conspicuous by his absence. In both 2016 and 2020, the youngest Trump son was present at the RNC.

“On this journey, I am deeply honoured to be joined by my amazing wife, Melania. And, Melania, thank you very much. You also did something really beautiful, a letter to America calling for national unity,” Trump said during his speech.

“I also want to thank my entire family — Don and Kimberly, Ivanka and Jared, Eric and Lara, Tiffany and Michael, Barron, we love our Barron. And of course, my 10 wonderful grandchildren.”

The Florida Republican Party had included him as an at-large delegate, according to an NBC News report in May. However, he declined the position two days later via his mother's office, MSNBC reported.

“While Barron is honored to have been chosen as a delegate by the Florida Republican Party, he regretfully declines due to prior commitments,” Melania Trump expressed in the statement.

However, Barron Trump did make an appearance at one of his father's political events earlier this month, when Trump presented him to the crowd at a rally in Florida.

Barron gained internet fame after the rally where his father repeatedly praised him.

Trump told him, "You're pretty popular," to the applause of the audience. He continued, observing Donald Trump Jr and Eric Trump, saying, "He might be more popular than Don and Eric."

Barron Trump trends after not attending RNC

As soon as the news was published on Yahoo, readers started mocking Barron's absence. One wrote, "Barron properly had a better party to attend not just room full of old people."

Another user added, "Can't, Dad -- my mom said no."

The third commentator wrote, "Run, Barron, run. Run away from the insanity."

"His mommie was probably afraid the freaky giant trump clone would get hurt," a person trolled.

A reader remarked, "He is shy."
