LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Benny Blanco knows how to guard his peace and tune out negativity. The producer made it clear he doesn’t pay attention to hurtful comments about himself or his relationship with wife Selena Gomez.

During an appearance on 'HowaTrd Stern Show,' Blanco said, “I don’t read into any of that stuff. All that’s fake. It’s just s*** online. There’s no point in looking.”

It’s no secret that Gomez and Blanco’s relationship has been heavily scrutinized in public. That attention has been there from the very beginning, especially after Gomez went public with Blanco.

A short clip of Blanco talking about online criticism surrounding his relationship with Gomez is currently going viral. During his appearance on Stern’s show, the host asked him how he handles constant online opinions, especially when millions of people are commenting.

Blanco replied calmly and straightforwardly: “I don't read any comments or anything, and this was far, far before all this because you know. I always urge artists because okay, look, there are two things that are gonna happen. You're either going online and someone's... being, like, 'Oh my God, you're the best' and what do you need that for?”

He went on to explain why he avoids online validation altogether, “Why do you need them to stroke your ego, or they go online and some kid in their parents' basement being like, 'You know what? That Picasso painting in Benny's house sucks'"

"There's no point. There's no point. I don't read into any of that stuff, and all that's fake. It's just s*** online. People just want to write stuff," Blanco added.

Stern also asked whether he ever feels insecure when Gomez is working with other actors on set. Blanco dismissed the idea of jealousy, saying he trusts the relationship and doesn’t let those thoughts affect him.
