'Better save it for bail money': Internet mocks Donald Trump following announcement of $76M raised by his campaign in April

WASHINGTON, DC: A spokesperson for Trump's campaign said that in April, former President Donald Trump and the Republican National Committee (RNC) raised more than $76 million, according to The Hill.

The official affirmed that Susie Wiles, Chris LaCivita, and Tony Fabrizio, three advisers to Trump, reported that the former president's political operation likely generated $76.2 million in April.

The New York Times was the first to report on the expected earnings. In March, following his confirmation as the presumed GOP nominee, Trump campaign and RNC merged and amassed $65.6 million. The current figure marks a rise from that total.

In addition to the amount of money raised, advisors revealed to donors during a conference in Florida that the former president is ahead in battleground states including Arizona, Nevada, and Georgia.

Moreover, citing confidential polls, they further contended that blue-leaning states like Virginia and Minnesota are still within Trump's grasp in November.

Notably, the former president is spending most of his time in a New York courtroom, coinciding with the surge in campaign donations. He continues to be there four days a week while on his hush-money trial.

Additionally, according to the authorities, Trump will hold additional fundraising events on two upcoming Wednesdays, including one on May 15 in Kentucky and Ohio.

Trump will be in Texas on May 22. The New York Times reported that advisors discussed tactics during the Florida conference for the campaign to increase support from Black and Latino voters.

Internet trolls Donald Trump as his campaign raises $76M in April

Many internet users mocked Donald Trump after a spokesperson for Trump's campaign announced that Trump and the Republican National Committee (RNC) had raised over $76 million in April.

A user posted on X, "For his numerous criminal cases," while one added, "That might pay half of the crime boss' legal fees." A person also said, "And it all went to legal bills. Next."



 



 



 

A person added, "No way they are liars @RNC no way in hell," whereas one mentioned, "And it’s all going toward his legal bills. What a joke."



 



 

A user also wrote, "Better save it for bail money," whereas one stated, "What they say and what they prove is to different things relalated to the same subject matter. Show us the proof! How much will be spent supporting just the Campaign. And how much will be spent on defending Trump non political criminal charges. Hum!"



 



 

A person also mentioned, "I’d like to see proof. Not one word that Trump or his lackeys say is true."
