WASHINGTON, DC: With Hurricane Milton barreling toward the US, President Joe Biden publicly called out Rep Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) for her outlandish claims about liberals manipulating weather patterns.

He made these statements during a briefing with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and the Federal Emergency Management Agency, where Biden underscored the dire circumstances faced by those in the path of the Category 4 storm on Wednesday, October 9.

Joe Biden calls out Marjorie Taylor Greene and Donald Trump's false claims

“Even one congresswoman suggested that I control the weather, implying that I'm sending it to red states. I mean, stuff off the wall. It's like out of a comic book,” Joe Biden stated. “It's beyond ridiculous. It's got to stop."

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene doubled down on her conspiracy theory by declaring on X, “Yes, they can control the weather. It’s ridiculous for anyone to lie and say it can’t be done.”

The president also addressed Donald Trump's misleading claims about disaster assistance, clarifying that the initial $750 aid is meant for immediate needs and does not reflect the total support available to those affected by disasters.

“You lost everything, and you get $750. They give you an immediate what you need to get by the next day to get a prescription to get whatever,” he explained.

Adding to the conversation, Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas debunked Trump's allegations that FEMA would seize land from disaster victims, stating that such falsehoods only serve to hinder recovery efforts.

Marjorie Taylor Greene links national disasters to divine punishment over Roe v Wade in fiery rant

In a recent town hall, Marjorie Taylor Greene further stirred the pot by rejecting additional funding for FEMA, claiming, “I’m not giving them a damn penny!”

She criticized the allocation of $640 million to assist migrants, arguing that the funds should instead support hurricane recovery efforts. This comes in the wake of Hurricane Helene, which has tragically taken over 160 lives and left FEMA scrambling for resources.

Greene’s controversial remarks quickly turned to a broader condemnation of the nation's morality. She linked the disasters, both natural and political, to what she described as divine retribution for Roe v Wade, the landmark 1973 ruling that legalized abortion.

“We've been murdering babies since 1983,” Greene said, mistakenly referencing the year of the ruling. “It’s no wonder that our nation feels like it is under judgment. And I say that as a Christian. And I think that's true. And politics is literally in America today is a fight between good and evil. And the line is clear."

Social media reacts as Biden slams MTG's weather control conspiracy

President Biden’s blunt takedown of Rep Marjorie Taylor Greene’s wild claim that Democrats can control the weather has set social media ablaze. From praise to sharp criticism, users didn't hold back.

"President Biden is done with the b******t. Bravo," tweeted a user.

"I love it when Joe does this to Marge," claimed a user.

"I think she was just pointing out some obvious things that have been in the news over the years," said a third user.

"Let’s stop worrying about what mtg is saying," read a tweet.

"On one hand Marjorie “three brain cells” Greene says climate change doesn’t exist because humans can’t influence climate. But on the other, she and the other morons claim Dems can control weather patterns. You can’t have it both ways, #maganoron !" penned a user.

"YOLO Joe!" chimed another.

"Republicans think Democrats control the weather - yikes," commented a user.

"It’s not he’s going to tell us they do," said another.
