NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: It seems Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni finally decided to settle their long feud. After roughly 18 months of legal back-and-forth, the 'It Ends With Us' co-stars are now working toward settling their issues, just weeks before their case was set to go to trial in NYC.
On Sunday, May 4, both parties reached an agreement to resolve Lively’s breach of contract and retaliation claims. The development was confirmed to USA Today by a spokesperson for Wayfarer Studios, the company co-founded by Baldoni. However, the exact details of the settlement were unspecified.
Soon after news of their settlement broke, Blake Lively was spotted attending the 2026 Met Gala.

The case, which drew attention due to its connection to 'It Ends With Us', has now been settled, allowing both sides to move forward. “The end product, the movie 'It Ends With Us', is a source of pride to all of us who worked to bring it to life. Raising awareness and making a meaningful impact in the lives of domestic violence survivors. and all survivors. is a goal that we stand behind,” a joint statement by both parties' attorneys states.

Why were Blake Lively’s lawsuits dismissed?
For those still catching up, a key question has been why several of Blake Lively’s claims were dismissed. The decision came in April, about a month before the trial was scheduled to begin on May 18.
The judge reviewed the case and dismissed most of Lively’s claims after Justin Baldoni’s legal team sought to limit the scope of the trial. Her lawsuit included allegations such as harassment, defamation, and invasion of privacy.
However, a few claims were allowed to continue. The court approved three of them to move forward: breach of contract, retaliation, and aiding and abetting retaliation. The remaining claims were dismissed.
