WASHINGTON, DC: As Melania Trump, the former first lady, gets ready to assume the position once again, body language experts are drawing inferences and analogies regarding her perspective on life in the spotlight.

According to body language expert Darren Stanton, the former model and Barron's mother appears to be drawing a lot of inspiration from the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle.

However, it is widely known that Prince Harry and his wife are not fans of President-elect Donald Trump, and vice versa.

Regardless of the incoming president's opinion of the Sussexes Melania reportedly finds "inspiration" in Meghan's interactions with her husband, per Cheat Sheet.

Despite not sharing Meghan Markle's political views, body language expert Stanton implied that Melania Trump might be taking inspiration from her in other ways as she struggles with a degree of not-so-chosen fame and attention.

Meghan was in a similar situation when she married Harry in 2018. She went from being somewhat famous due to her acting career to being the center of a media frenzy.

Speaking to Irish Star, Stanton described how both women employ the same strategies to project confidence.

"Meghan and Melania are both tall and use their height to their advantage, standing up straight and maintaining a good amount of eye contact with whoever they are conversing with," he said.

He added: "Meghan never displays signs she’s nervous or anxious, such as fiddling with buttons or touching the back of her neck. She captivates the camera and commands a room with ease. Melania displays very similar traits and can steal the spotlight without doing too much."

Melania's self-titled memoir and Meghan's lifestyle blog and brand have both helped them establish themselves as well-known individuals in their own right.

However, they frequently find themselves in a position of secondary power to their husbands, as Stanton noted. He claimed that both ladies communicate with their partners by using subtly assertive power.

Stanton said, "One of Meghan’s subtle techniques with Harry is to touch his elbow when he’s mid conversation and it’s a way to signal she would like attention or she would like to leave."

"You can see Harry reacting accordingly almost every time. She can also give a subtle look to Harry that is his cue to bring her into a conversation. She never makes it too obvious though."

"She also touches Harry’s lower back, which is a power move to assert authority. Even if she’s letting him lead the way, she will place her hand on the small of his back to regain some control," he added.

The body language expert claimed that although Melania often remains silent and keeps a distance from her husband at public gatherings, she has mastered nuanced communication techniques.

"Melania does the same with Donald Trump when they’re together. Like Meghan, she’s careful to not steal the spotlight but this subtle move shows she has some control in the relationship," Stanton said.

He added, "Melania has also been known to signal how she is feeling to her husband with a look. She can say a lot with her eyes."

Melania Trump and Meghan Markle possess similar fashion choices

Body language expert Stanton further suggested that Melania Trump might decide to wear more of Meghan Markle's favorite power color in the future.

He drew attention to the parallels between their fashion choices, which, in his opinion, reveal more than just a common sense of style and reveal a lot about how they wish to be observed.

He said: "Meghan has been spotted wearing red on a number of occasions and it’s a bold color choice. It’s a superhero color, as they typically favour primary tones."

"It’s a color that you wear to stand out and grab attention. Even when Meghan is in a more neutral tone, she may opt for a bold accessory, like a quirky hat to grab attention," Stanton added.

He said, "It’s a clever tactic to ensure all eyes are on you without making it obvious you want the attention. Melania could likely adopt the same color palette as Meghan because she sees the power it has. Meghan manages to steal the limelight every time she’s out."
