According to TMZ, the singer was dining with two companions at Blue Dog Tavern when the evening allegedly turned chaotic. Reports claimed Spears was “raising her voice, screaming and even barking at times” while holding a knife during parts of the outing.

While seated, Spears was also said to have fed her male friend and told him, “I love you.” The report noted it was unclear whether she was being serious or playful during the interaction.

One witness later described the table as looking “like a toddler had been there” by the end of the meal. Despite the alleged commotion, several diners reportedly did not realize Spears was in the restaurant until after she had already left with her security team.

Entertainment reporter Jeff Sneider told Page Six that he arrived at Blue Dog Tavern around 7 pm with a friend. He claimed Spears may have “forgot to put down her silverware” at one point while standing, which could have contributed to concerns about her holding a knife.

Britney Spears’ representative has now pushed back against the claims surrounding the alleged incident, dismissing reports that the singer behaved erratically during the outing.

In a statement to Extra TV, her representative said, “This is completely blown out of proportion. Britney was enjoying a quiet dinner with her assistant and bodyguard. She was simply telling the story about how her dog was barking at the neighbors.”

The statement further addressed reports about Spears allegedly holding a knife, adding, “At no point did she put anyone in danger with a knife. She was cutting her hamburger in half.”

Her representative also criticized the public reaction to the story and ongoing scrutiny surrounding the singer. The statement continued, “This constant attack on everything that she does and this is exactly what happened 20 years ago when the media tried to depict Britney as a bad person. This is ridiculous and it needs to stop now.”
