LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Britney Spears has spoken out after a viral freeway moment put her back in the spotlight. The singer addressed the situation days after she was photographed standing through the sunroof of a moving SUV in Los Angeles.

Instead of directly responding to the circulating images, Spears took to Instagram with a cryptic message, suggesting that the brief moment seen by the public did not reflect her everyday reality.

While Spears has shared several unconventional posts in the past, her recent freeway stunt sparked fresh discussion online, with many expressing concern for the singer.

Britney Spears breaks silence on viral stunt

Spears appeared to address the viral incident in an Instagram post, in which she shared a photo of herself lying across the roof of a car with her arms outstretched.

Without directly addressing the freeway photos, the 'Baby One More Time' singer suggested the image offered only a brief glimpse into her life rather than the complete story.

She wrote, "What people see is two seconds of insanity of me arching me to the lords !!!!! yet the days and hours of my reality !!!!!! Nothing is what it seems." The singer then ended her message with a playful remark, adding, "Psss I think I need to come out of the roof quite a bit more."

Spears' post came after she was photographed standing through the sunroof of a black Mercedes SUV while traveling on the 101 Freeway near Studio City. The images quickly spread online, sparking widespread discussion about the unusual moment.

While Spears did not elaborate further on the incident, her Instagram message offered a glimpse into how she viewed the attention surrounding it. A source told the Daily Mail that Spears briefly stood through the SUV's sunroof while traffic was stopped, saying it was something she had done since childhood.

“She used to do this all the time as a kid growing up in the South. She loves having the warm wind blow through her hair in the summer, it’s fun.”

The source added, “She is having a fun summer and is happy, she is in a good place. If it’s illegal to put your head through a sunroof, she doesn’t know it! She didn’t mean to do anything bad.”

Spears' latest freeway incident came months after she made headlines for legal troubles earlier this year.

The singer was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence in California in March after reports that she had been seen driving recklessly following a night out with a friend.

The pop star later checked herself into a rehabilitation facility in April before leaving less than a month later. As per Page Six, a source revealed, “She’s healthy and happy and feeling very positive and excited to start afresh. Rehab was a great opportunity for her to ground herself.”
