Britney Spears’ ex-husband Kevin Federline fears she is racing toward 'something irreversible'

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Britney Spears’ ex-husband Kevin Federline is voicing serious concerns for the pop icon’s well-being, warning that her situation could end in tragedy if nothing changes.
In his new memoir, 'You Thought You Knew', the former dancer and father of Spears’ two sons writes that it has become "impossible to pretend everything’s OK," revealing that her behavior has become increasingly erratic since the end of her 13-year conservatorship in 2021.

Kevin Federline fears his and Britney Spears' sons will be left holding the pieces
In an emotional excerpt obtained by The Sun, Kevin Federline, 46, writes, “This situation with Britney feels like it’s racing toward something irreversible. It’s become impossible to pretend everything’s OK. From where I sit, the clock is ticking, and we’re getting close to the 11th hour. Something bad is going to happen if things don’t change, and my biggest fear is our sons will be left holding the pieces.”
The couple married in 2004 and divorced three years later in 2007. Federline says despite their turbulent past, he remains deeply concerned for Spears’ health and stability.
The 43-year-old pop star has made headlines in recent months for a string of unpredictable social media posts, leading fans and family members to question her safety.
Kevin Federline reveals shocking details in tell-all book
Kevin Federline’s memoir, set to release on October 21, reportedly includes bombshell claims about their relationship, including infidelity and emotional chaos during their marriage. He alleges that on the night before their 2004 wedding, the 'Toxic' hitmaker called her ex-boyfriend Justin Timberlake to ensure things were truly over between them.
“I just kind of stepped back like, ‘Did I just hear you right? What the hell is going on?’” Federline told Entertainment Tonight. “And I immediately was, ‘OK, we don’t have to do this’. I didn’t care if we got married or not. And she was like, ‘I just wanted to make sure everything is done… that I say my final piece’. I’m like, ‘On the night before our wedding?’”
In another shocking revelation, Federline claims he once caught Spears “full-on making out” with a female dancer during a wild night in Amsterdam. “As I passed one of the rooms, I glanced inside and froze. There she was. Theresa was sitting on the edge of the bed. Britney stood between her legs, hands on her face, and they were going at it,” he writes.
Britney Spears' rep hits back at Kevin Federline's claims
Britney Spears’ camp was quick to respond to the allegations. A spokesperson for the singer accused Federline of "profiting off her again," pointing out that his child support payments have recently ended as their sons Sean Preston, 20, and Jayden James, 19, have both reached adulthood.
"With news from Kevin’s book breaking, once again he and others are profiting off her and sadly it comes after child support has ended with Kevin," the rep said in a statement.
"All she cares about are her kids, Sean Preston and Jayden James, and their well-being during this sensationalism. She detailed her journey in her memoir 'The Woman In Me,'" the statement added.
Since being freed from her conservatorship in late 2021, Spears has maintained that she’s trying to rebuild her life on her own terms. She has released snippets of new music, posted videos of herself dancing at home, and occasionally addressed her mental health struggles online.
