Britney Spears 'stood with a knife' near their sleeping sons, claims ex Kevin Federline in memoir

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Britney Spears reportedly stood outside her sons’ room at night with a knife in hand while they were asleep, her ex-husband Kevin Federline has claimed in his upcoming memoir.
Federline claimed that her sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James, were also afraid of staying with their mom. These alarming revelations are made in Federline's new memoir 'You Thought You Knew', which is set to be out on October 21.

According to The New York Times, the memoir says that his sons claimed their mom Britney Spears would sometimes stand in their bedroom doorway holding a knife while watching them sleep.
Federline detailed that the boys occasionally woke up to find their mother quietly watching them from the doorway, saying “Oh, you’re awake?” before walking away without any explanation.
Britney Spears’ reps slam timing of Kevin Federline's memoir
In a statement to Us Weekly on Tuesday, October 14, representative of Spears said Federline and others are exploiting the star for profit with the release of his book.
The statement said, "With news from Kevin’s book breaking, once again he and others are profiting off her, and sadly it comes after child support has ended with Kevin. All she cares about are her kids, Sean Preston and Jayden James, and their well-being during this sensationalism."
Kevin Federline breaks silence on Britney Spears' 2007 psychiatric hold and current state
According to an excerpt from the book, Federline also wrote about the time in 2007 when Spears was kept on an involuntary psychiatric hold at a hospital, saying, "It was one of the hardest nights of my life."
He further added, "I felt sick over what she was going through. This was someone I had loved. Someone I had built a life with. The mother of my children."
It is to be noted that Spears was placed on another psychiatric hold that eventually led to her 13-year conservatorship, and Federline getting primary custody of Sean and Jayden.

According to The Times, Federline hasn’t spoken in “years” with Spears and wrote, "It’s become impossible to pretend everything’s OK."
Federline wrote, "From where I sit, the clock is ticking, and we’re getting close to the 11th hour. Something bad is going to happen if things don’t change, and my biggest fear is that our sons will be left holding the pieces," while asserting that her release from her conservatorship in 2021 wasn't a good idea.
Reportedly, the ex-husband urged "Free Britney" advocates to transition their focus to a "Save Britney" movement, stressing that the situation has become a matter of survival, not just freedom.

“Jayden loves her and does his best to accept her, but knows she’s never going to be a normal mom,” a source close to the family revealed to Globe.
Jayden Federline, who recently turned 18 and aged out of child support arrangements that had Spears paying ex-husband Kevin Federline thousands each month, has reportedly visited his mother at her $8 million Los Angeles mansion this year.

It is to be noted that Jayden and his older brother Sean, 19, were primarily raised by Federline, largely shielded from the spotlight. Now, with both legally adults, their relationship with Spears has become more complex.
