Bunnie Xo says Cameron Diaz inspired her to have a baby later in life
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Bunnie Xo has revealed the name of the celebrity who inspired her to have a baby later in life.
The podcaster also confirmed during the Thursday, September 3, episode of Jenna Bush Hager’s ‘Open Book’ podcast that she still wants to have a baby following her recent divorce from Jelly Roll.
Bunnie Xo hails Cameron Diaz for having children later in life
“You know who inspired me a lot more too is freaking Cameron Diaz. She just had her third child at like 53!” Bunnie told Hager. She also mentioned the actress becoming a mother for the first time at the age of 47.
Diaz and her husband, Benji Madden, are parents to three children. They welcomed Raddix Chloe Wildflower Madden in December 2019, Cardinal Madden in 2024, and Nautas Madden in May 2026.
Bunnie further stated that the ‘Charlie's Angels’ actress’ decision was “so inspiring, and I feel like it gives you a purpose later on in life to live for. So yeah…I will still have a baby.”
Bunnie Xo was a stepmom to Jelly Roll's two children
Bunnie became the stepmother to Jelly Roll's two children from previous relationships, Bailee Ann and Noah, when they got married in 2016 and played an active role in raising them.
Elsewhere during the podcast, Bunnie disclosed how she processed her divorce and the issues she faced.
She said, “There were moments when my team had to pick me up off the floor and give me IVs,” because she “wasn’t eating.”
“I was eating baby food to get by. I lost 20 pounds,” the 46-year-old added, before noting, “Heartbreak, man, it’s the best freaking diet.”
Bunnie Xo says divorce is 'not hot'
Bunnie also disclosed the reason behind taking down the June 18 episode of her own podcast, ‘Dumb Blonde’, where she had spoken about the divorce.
“I said what I needed to say. I made a s**tload off of it. If I was gonna do it for money, I would’ve left it up. Every time I went to my YouTube, I didn’t want to see that. And I also don’t want to be the freaking poster child for divorce. There’s nothing hot about that,” she stated, before asserting, “It’s a very devastating situation that anybody ever has to go through. Families get broken up. Hearts get broken. So it’s time to move on.”
Also, during an earlier interview with Hager and Sheinelle Jones on August 20, Bunnie talked about her divorce.
She had said, “I know when something like that that’s deeply personal happens, it’s beautifully tragic, but at the same time there’s always a silver lining, there’s always something better to look forward to. There’s so much more to talk about with me especially, and with women, than their past lovers and people in their lives.”
