LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Bunnie Xo claims she has been receiving death threats in her direct messages after her ex-husband Jelly Roll made pointed comments about President Donald Trump while guest hosting 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!' The podcaster addressed the backlash on her 'Dumb Blonde' podcast and said she should not be held responsible for her former husband’s comments.

"I'm getting death threats in my DMs this week. And it's just, it's crazy because I don't have anything to do with that. Like I separated myself for a reason, and what another person does is not a reflection of me," Bunnie said. She also urged people to recognize that she is now living independently from Jelly Roll following their divorce in July.

Jelly Roll's comments on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!'

Jelly Roll’s comments came while he was guest hosting 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!', where he joked about Trump’s appearance at an IndyCar race. The singer commented on the president’s interest in the event while taking a jab at his usual preferences.

"The president seemed to enjoy the Indie Car race, which was a real switch-up for him cuz normally he only likes his own race." Jelly Roll later referenced his own weight loss while making another joke about Trump and his approval ratings.

"In the last few years, I've lost 300 lb. That means I've lost an entire Donald Trump. And let's be honest, based on his approval ratings, it seems like most of the country wants to do the same thing."

The remarks sparked a reaction online, with Bunnie saying she subsequently found herself receiving threatening messages despite having separated from Jelly Roll.

Bunnie emphasized that Jelly Roll’s actions are not a reflection of her and asked fans to stop connecting her to him. She said the separation was intentional and that she is focused on establishing herself independently.

"I hope you guys can just learn that I am my own person now and I am standing on my own two feet without being attached to anybody else."

Bunnie also addressed the need for people to understand that she and Jelly Roll are separate individuals with their own choices and values. Her comments come as the former couple continues to draw public attention following their divorce.

During a separate red carpet appearance, Bunnie spoke about personal growth and described it as an ongoing process: "Yeah, it's still a journey. It's never a destination. And I feel like um when you stop living and learning, you're not evolving. And that we live and we learn every day."
