Bunnie XO reflects on Jelly Roll's affair, says 'betrayal' hurt more than cheating
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Bunnie XO made a rare comment about the betrayal she experienced during her marriage to Jelly Roll, nearly a year after the country singer publicly admitted to being unfaithful.
Speaking on her podcast, the media personality reflected on the emotional impact of infidelity while also addressing how betrayal affected her ability to trust. Her remarks come months after the former couple finalized their divorce, with both having publicly moved on with their personal lives.

During Monday’s episode of the 'Dumb Blonde' podcast, Bunnie XO spoke with guest Denise Richards about how “slimy” it feels to be caught up in a cheating scandal.
Reflecting on her own experience, the 46-year-old said, “When I had gone through a situation with an affair, it’s not the act that hurts you. It’s the lies. It’s just, like, whiplash.”
Although she did not mention Jelly Roll by name, she added, “There’s no way to feel good about it. Betrayal trauma literally rewires your brain to not trust people, to just feel disgusting because you’re the last to know. Nobody ever wants to be the last to know.” She described the experience as “a different kind of hurt.”
The affair first became public in October 2025 when Jelly Roll discussed it on the 'Human School' podcast. “I don’t talk about this publicly at all, but one of the worst moments of my adulthood was when I had an affair on my wife."
He also reflected on the circumstances surrounding the incident, saying, “I was hanging around a bunch of people that were cheating on their wives.” He further explained that he “worked hard to repair the relationship,” adding that “the repair has been special. And we’re stronger than we could have ever been.”
Bunnie XO later revisited that chapter of her life in her memoir, published in February. She revealed that she contemplated many things after his infidelity a few years into their marriage, writing, “The pain was so intense that I genuinely just wanted to end it all.”

The duo married in August 2016 and renewed their vows in 2023 after reconciling, but ultimately ended their relationship in May. News of their split surfaced in June, and the pair finalized their divorce the following month.
Despite the separation, both have continued to speak positively about each other. In July, Bunnie XO made headlines after kissing 'Calabasas Confidential' star Dylan Wolf at Jelly Roll’s Goodnight Nashville bar, later claiming that her ex “had no issue at all” with the moment.
She has also said there is “nothing to clear up” regarding their breakup, despite Jelly Roll’s 18-year-old daughter, Bailee Ann DeFord, suggesting the real reason behind the divorce would make the internet “crumble.”
While teasing future revelations in a TikTok video, Bailee insisted that neither of them cheated.
The former couple also acknowledged that they ignored advice from their legal teams against having children together after their divorce and said they still plan to pursue parenthood through IVF.
Meanwhile, both have moved on romantically. Bunnie XO previously shared that Jelly Roll had already started dating after filing for divorce. The singer has also announced an indefinite break from performing to focus on his mental health.
During a concert at Rice-Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City, Utah, he told fans, “This has truly been a lifetime experience for me. And in a couple of nights, I go to Colorado Springs and do my last show for a year or two.”
