LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Brooke Huckaby is defying the perceived disinterest of her generation in politics by becoming the youngest female mayor ever elected in Georgia.

She aims to inspire other young Americans to engage actively in shaping their communities.

Brooke Huckaby's path to leadership

"It's alarming to see how disengaged people my age are from our economy, politics, and global issues," Huckaby remarked during an appearance on 'Fox & Friends Weekend.'

"I felt compelled to step up and make a difference, to take that leap where others hesitate."

At just 21 years old, Huckaby now leads Arabi, a small town located approximately 150 miles south of Atlanta. Her journey into politics mirrors that of her father, Craig Huckaby, who served as mayor for 12 years before choosing not to seek reelection.

Initially hesitant to inform her father of her decision to run, Brooke Huckaby eventually followed her convictions.

Craig Huckaby reflects on Brooke's decision

"On a Tuesday, I think she signed up, and it was Thursday before I found out from my secretary at City Hall," Craig Huckaby revealed during the interview. "I thought maybe I talked her out of running. I was a little shocked then, but I'm glad, and she's a smart girl. She'll do well."

Brooke Huckaby's vision for Crisp County focuses on fostering local self-reliance rather than dependence on external support. "I want our community to start investing in themselves," she emphasized. "It's time we prioritize the world we're creating for our children and future generations—a responsibility that seems overlooked right now."

Looking ahead, Huckaby hopes her tenure will encourage more young people to pursue leadership roles. "I genuinely hope more young individuals step forward," she said thoughtfully. "We need to care about the future we're crafting for our children."
