Brooklyn Beckham won't reconcile with parents, claims they tried to ruin marriage to Nicola Peltz
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Brooklyn Beckham has publicly broken his silence on the long-rumored rift within the Beckham family, accusing his parents, David and Victoria Beckham, of repeatedly trying to sabotage his marriage to actress Nicola Peltz Beckham.
In a lengthy and emotional Instagram Stories post shared this week, the 26-year-old claimed the situation has been ongoing for years and driven by image, publicity, and control.
Brooklyn accused his parents of “trying endlessly to ruin” his relationship with his wife and of placing “public promotion and endorsements above all else.”

Brooklyn Beckham says his parents used the press to undermine his marriage.
In his post, Brooklyn said he had remained silent for years to protect his family’s privacy, but felt compelled to speak after what he described as continued manipulation through the media.
“I have been silent for years and have made every attempt to keep these matters private,” he wrote. “Unfortunately, my parents and their team have continued to go to the press, leaving me with no choice but to speak for myself and tell the truth about only some of the lies that have been printed.”
Brooklyn went on to make his most definitive statement yet about his estrangement, writing, “I do not want to reconcile with my family. I'm not being controlled, I'm standing up for myself for the first time in my life.”
According to Brooklyn, his parents prioritize branding and public optics over personal relationships. He alleged that attendance at family events was often less about genuine connection and more about curated public appearances.
“Brand Beckham comes first,” he wrote, adding that family “love” seemed to depend on social media posts and public visibility.
Wedding and birthday events cited as turning points
Brooklyn detailed several moments he claims deeply damaged his trust, including his 2022 wedding to Nicola Peltz in Palm Beach, Florida, and David Beckham’s 50th birthday celebration last year.
Addressing long-standing rumors about tension at the wedding, Brooklyn alleged that his mother disrupted what was meant to be a private moment between him and his bride during a dance. He said the moment left him feeling “uncomfortable” and “humiliated,” claiming it overshadowed what should have been a romantic milestone.
He also reiterated claims that Victoria Beckham ultimately refused to make Nicola’s wedding dress after initially offering to do so, adding that his family made comments implying Nicola was “not blood” and therefore not truly family.
Brooklyn suggested that the tension continued in the years that followed. He said he and Nicola traveled to London for David Beckham’s birthday celebrations in 2025, but were met with conditions that excluded his wife.
“When he finally agreed to see me,” Brooklyn wrote, “it was under the condition that Nicola wasn't invited.”
Longstanding tensions and public denials resurface
While Nicola previously denied any feud with Victoria in a 2023 interview, sources have since acknowledged friction behind the scenes. Multiple insiders told PEOPLE over the years that Brooklyn felt torn between loyalty to his family and protecting his marriage.
Brooklyn also claimed his parents attempted to have him sign away rights to his name shortly before the wedding, alleging the disagreement impacted financial arrangements and permanently altered their relationship.
Despite insiders close to the Beckhams disputing many of the claims and insisting the family tried to stay “above it all,” Brooklyn said he now feels peace in his distance.
“My wife and I do not want a life shaped by image, press or manipulation,” he concluded. “All we want is peace, privacy and happiness for us and for our future family.”
