Internet trolls Kevin McCarthy over claim he and Donald Trump are 'honest with one another'
FRESNO, CALIFORNIA: The ousted former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy said that he and former President Donald Trump have an "honest" relationship with each other.
He made the revelation in an upcoming interview on 'CBS Sunday Morning,' scheduled to be broadcast on December 10.
In the excerpts of the interview, McCarthy said, "I worked with President Trump on a lot of policies. We worked together to win the majority. But we also have a relationship where we're very honest with one another."

This is the 58-year-old Republican's first interview after he announced his retirement from Congress at the end of this month.
Kevin McCarthy endorses Donald Trump for President
McCarthy's relationship with Trump hit a rocky patch when the former refrained from publicly supporting the former President's second bid for the Oval Office.
However, as the former Speaker is preparing to leave Congress at the end of this month for the first time, he has declared his support for Trump for the 2024 presidential race.
"I will support the President. I will support President Trump," he told CBS' Robert Costa in the interview.
When questioned about his plans after Congress and the possibility of serving in a cabinet if Trump is elected, McCarthy did not explicitly reveal his future intentions.
However, he nodded optimistically towards the opportunity, stating, "In the right position. Look, if I'm the best person for the job, yes."
In another interview excerpt, the GOP lawmaker said he expects Trump to win if Joe Biden is the Democratic nominee.
"If Biden stays as the nominee for the Democrats, I believe Donald Trump will win, I believe the Republicans will gain more seats in the House, and the Republicans will win the Senate," McCarthy said.

Internet slams Kevin McCarthy over his comments about Donald Trump
Internet says McCarthy's revelations are "pathetic" and "desparate" because he was only trying to please the former President, and it is unbelievable that the two could be honest with each other.
One user said, "So unbelievably pathetic."
Another user stated, "honestly, i'm unsurprised and disgusted."
"I don't think either of you are very honest with anyone," remarked a third user.
A fourth user shared a meme that said, "NO WAY" with the caption "honest."
"Two famously dishonest politicians being honest with one another. Ah..what a brown-nosing love story," read one reaction.
