Bunnie Xo’s ex-husband says he is open to rekindling romance with her amid Jelly Roll divorce
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: As Bunnie Xo and Jelly Roll are navigating their lives amid their divorce, the podcast host's first husband has jumped into the conversation, claiming he can rekindle romance with her.
Bunnie and the 'Need a Favor' singer got married in 2016, and the duo co-parents the country singer's two children — daughter Bailee Ann DeFord and son Noah "Buddy" DeFord. But almost ten years later, Jelly filed for divorce in May, citing "irreconcilable differences.”
Bunnie Xo's ex-husband says 'there’s a lot of unfinished business between' them
Bunnie Xo’s former husband, Frankie Lombardo, spoke with Page Six, and he said, “We talk every day.”
He also noted that he “wouldn’t say no” to getting back with Bunnie if she also feels the same way.
“She was the only woman who ever broke my heart. I feel like there’s a lot of unfinished business between us, but I might be the only one who feels that way. I love her very much. I will never do anything to hurt her. I don’t think that’s ever going to go away,” Lombardo stated.
Bunnie Xo's ex-husband calls her 'my best friend'
Lombardo further asserted that he and Bunnie “have an interesting friendship. Sometimes she still talks to me like she’s my wife and reprimands me.”
“Bunnie is my best friend,” he added.
Jelly Roll insists 'nobody cheated on nobody'
This came as Jelly also called himself Bunnie’s “best friend”.
At a Saratoga Springs concert on Thursday, June 18, Jelly said, “We will always be best friends,” as he went on to add that she’ll “probably be the only woman I will ever love the way I loved her.”
The Grammy winner even insisted that “nobody cheated on nobody,” before mentioning Bunnie’s ‘Dumb Blonde’ podcast, where she talked about their divorce.
“Every word of it is the truth. That will be my best friend forever. This is the only time I will ever speak about it. Bunnie, I love you, baby,” he stated.
Bunnie Xo claims she and Jelly Roll 'served our purpose for each other'
Meanwhile, Bunnie made a surprising declaration, saying that despite the divorce, she and Jelly will be having a baby together.
“We have been the most unconventional couple that you guys have ever encountered. We're going to co-parent together. J is my best friend. Nobody cheated on the other person. It's literally just we served our purpose for each other,” she said on her podcast.
The 46-year-old added, “Our future is so much more important and being happy and healthy and best friends through this is probably the biggest gift that we could have given each other.”
