Jelly Roll files for divorce from wife Bunnie XO after 10 years of marriage
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Jelly Roll has reportedly decided to end his relationship with wife, Bunnie XO, of 10 years as he filed for divorce.
The singer took the step last month and submitted documents in Williamson County, Tennessee, on May 18.
Jelly Roll and Bunnie XO have mutually decided to end their marriage
TMZ citing sources reported that the decision to file for divorce was mutual. The pair got married in 2016 in a secret Las Vegas courthouse ceremony after meeting each other a year earlier.
Though the two do not share any children, they raise the country star's daughter and a son, Bailee Ann and Noah Buddy, from his previous relationships.
Jelly Roll claimed if Bunnie XO wasn’t in his life, he ‘would have ended up dead or in jail’
Months before the duo parted ways, Jelly Roll had expressed his gratitude towards his soon-to-be-ex-wife.
After winning the Best Contemporary Country Album at the 2026 Grammy Awards in February, the 41-year-old said, “I would have never changed my life without you. I would have ended up dead or in jail. I would have killed myself if it wasn't for you and Jesus. I thank you for that.”
Meanwhile, the rapper and the podcaster's, 46, relationship has never been a perfect one. In 2018, they had split for some time, with Jelly Roll disclosing later that he had cheated on his wife.
During an episode of the ‘Human School Podcast’ in 2025, he said, “I did a lot of work to repair that relationship. The repair has been special. And we’re stronger than we could have ever been.”
Bunnie XO revealed she and Jelly Roll got together despite being not each other’s type
Besides, in her recently released memoir, ‘Stripped Down: Unfiltered and Unapologetic,’ Bunnie has mentioned, “J wasn’t the man he is today back in 2015 when we met, and a year later, he was still bouncing couch to couch and living in his brown van, Bertha.”
“But dirty van and all, our connection felt spiritual. J wasn’t my type—I love tough guys, or goth, emo boys in eyeliner. I wasn’t his type either. So why the hell was my soul telling me there he is the minute we met? I couldn’t explain it. And I didn’t know how he thought about me at all. I had a hunch, but I wasn’t sure,” the media producer added in her book.
