LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Conservative commentator, Candace Owens confronted former CNN host Don Lemon, declaring his same-sex marriage to be 'sinful'.

The clash occurred during the July 12 episode of 'The Don Lemon Show' podcast, where Lemon, 58, directly asked Owens if she believed his marriage to his husband, Tim Malone, 40, was a sin. "You think I'm sinful because I'm married to a man?" Lemon questioned.

"Yes," Owens, 35, replied confidently, doubling down by adding, "It's a sin ... You're sinning. You're in a sinful relationship. I actually don't believe marriage can be between two men." Owens, a mother of two and former host at the Daily Wire, further expressed hope that Lemon would "deal with" his sexuality and convert to Christianity to understand why she believes "sodomy is a sin."

Don Lemon questions Candace Owens on homophobia

The interview quickly grew more contentious as Don Lemon, who was ousted from CNN last year, questioned Candace Owens about her stance on homosexuality. "Are you homophobic?" he asked, to which Owens responded awkwardly, "You're such an absurd human being. What does homophobia even mean? You think I'm scared of two gay men walking down the street? I don't fear anything but God."

Lemon countered by noting that many who view gay marriage as sinful might also see Owens' interracial relationship in the same light, though Owens dismissed this, claiming she had never encountered such an argument in biblical context.

Following the interview, Owens sensationally claimed that Lemon had attempted to bait her into using a homophobic slur. Speaking to her own audience, Owens alleged that Lemon was trying to provoke her into calling him a "f*****," stating, "Ladies and gentlemen, I am not OK right now. I need to talk to you guys because something has happened regarding which I may never recover. [Don Lemon] straight up asked me if I wanted to call him a f*****. Yeah, he was goading me to call him the F word."

Owens vehemently defended herself, saying, "I'm a 35-year-old mother. I don't go around being like, 'Hey, you're a f*****.' I'm not 18 years old. I'm not going around calling people names, period. And I wouldn't go up to a fat person and call them names. It's an absurd thing to be going around pointing and calling people names because I don't like them."
