OREM, UTAH: Candace Owens didn't waste time responding after Erika Kirk went on Fox News begging America to quit combing the earth for the secret spot where her husband, Charlie Kirk, is buried. The grieving widow told the public she wanted “one thing” left private for her family.

On December 10, Owens played a clip from Erika’s Fox News appearance, where the widow was asked about Charlie’s grave and the conspiracies popping up around it.

It's worth noting that Owens hasn’t exactly been leading a nationwide treasure hunt to find the burial site, but she has poked holes in the secrecy of the site. Her episodes have covered everything from speculation that Charlie’s funeral was a Catholic Mass despite his "evangelical background" to suggestions that Turning Point USA is covering its tracks to mask Charlie’s supposed shift on religion and Israel.

But Erika had had enough.

“Can I have one thing? Can I have one thing? Can my children have one thing? Everything was public," she pleaded. "We will be building the most beautiful memorial for my husband at Turning Point USA, and it will be for the world to see, and it will be spectacular, and it will have um basically, a museum style for our Charlie, for my Charlie. But can I have one thing? Can my babies have one thing where we hold it sacred? Where my husband is laid to rest?”

Candace Owens says Erika Kirk can’t have it both ways

Owens wasn’t having it. The conservative firebrand reacted to Erika’s privacy plea by arguing that the latter lost the right to draw that boundary the minute she put a camera over her husband’s casket and posted it on Instagram.

Owens insisted that Erika has “Meghan Markle syndrome," which she described as wanting privacy only when it’s convenient and basking in the spotlight when it suits your personal brand.

“So, objectively, I agree with what she's saying," she said. "Okay. But subjectively, because we are dealing with the subject of Erica Kirk, uh, and what transpired immediately following Charlie's assassination, this is going to be read as Meghan Markle syndrome. Okay, Meghan Markle syndrome, where you want privacy when you want it, but you want publicity whenever you want it.”

Owens reminded viewers of the now-infamous moment Erika had someone record her crying over Charlie's casket. “This is the same person who recorded — had somebody record her — over Charlie Kirk's casket. That was not our business, truly," she expressed.

In the said clip, a shattered Erika revealed Charlie's open casket, whispering “I love you” through sobs as the camera rolled.

Owens was disgusted. “I wouldn't even record myself over a casket. Ever,” she said. “The decision to publish that — you crying over your husband's casket and to publish his dead body on Instagram — was a decision made by Erika.”

Owens even dragged in 'Real Housewives of New York' alum Bethenny Frankel. “I honestly think it was said best by Bethenny Frankel,” Owens remarked, paraphrasing the 'RHONY' legend who once torched a castmate for blasting open her own life and then demanding privacy when things got ugly. “Like, we were riding with you on the way up... You don't get to pick and choose when you want privacy," Owens added.

She also wasn’t impressed with Erika’s attempt on Fox News to defend TPUSA staffers, whom Owens accused of peddling “many lies, many inconsistencies” about the hit that ended Charlie’s life.

Candace Owens says Erika Kirk’s comments were about her

In another video, Owens said she felt the message in Erika’s Fox News appearance was pointed right at her.

“Super fun show today. You’re probably seeing the clips … it’s about me. It’s indirect, but it’s also about me. And don’t worry, in case you think it’s not about me, she is going to name-check me on stage," she predicted.
