WASHINGTON, DC: Long-term Trump ally and former Fox News host Tucker Carlson, who recently broke with President Donald Trump, called the president the most “flamboyantly corrupt” leader in American history during an interview with Hunter Biden.

In the Monday, August 10, podcast episode of 'The Tucker Carlson Show', the host claimed that America has had plenty of “bad leaders” since 1776, but none as “crooked” as President Trump.

Hunter Biden pushed back on blaming Trump for all of the country’s problems, but called it “absurd” that the president is responsible for roughly 20% of the nation’s debt since its founding.

“Yeah, it’s bonkers,” Carlson said.

Carlson said he backed Trump in 2024 because he believed the president had been unfairly targeted by the “uniparty” while out of office.

But he said Trump later “humiliated” him by ignoring his plea not to launch the Iran war, admitting the decision left him “mad” and that his “sin” was believing he could talk Trump out of it.

Carlson had previously accused Hunter Biden and Joe Biden of corruption, including criticizing Hunter’s overseas business dealings.

In 2022, while at Fox News, Carlson argued that the FBI withholding information about the Biden family’s overseas business dealings was itself “the definition of corruption.”

He later ran a Fox News series called “Biden, Inc” attacking Hunter Biden’s business activities.

Carlson argued that Hunter Biden’s business opportunities largely came from his relationship with his father, Joe Biden.

Carlson spent years attacking the Biden family over alleged corruption, but now he's making an equally sweeping corruption accusation against Trump.

He branded Trump a “weak” man who was being controlled by Israel in July, and last week he claimed Trump was “homicidal” and “incapable” of leading the US.

Besides Tucker Carlson, other Trump allies, including Marjorie Taylor Greene, broke with Trump over his Iran war policy, accusing him of betraying the America First movement.

Recently, Marjorie Taylor Greene shared an X post, writing that she and several other conservative allies had supported Trump based on his promise to keep America First, but she said that he had failed to do so by waging foreign wars.

Greene also shared a photo featuring several former Trump allies, including Tucker Carlson.

“Our commitment is America First for all Americans, right, left, and center,” Greene wrote in the post, declaring the revival of the America First movement.

However, President Trump's White House has publicly dismissed Tucker Carlson and Marjorie Taylor Greene's effort to build an alternative America First movement, branding them and two other former allies as "whiny turncoats."
