Celebrities who won’t vote for Joe Biden this November: From Michael Rapaport to Kid Rock
2024 election: Celebs who have decided they won’t vote for Joe Biden
Some celebrities have explicitly decided to not vote for President Joe Biden in his reelection bid. Biden, slightly trailing behind his predecessor, Donald Trump, lost the support of famous figures, some of whom voted for him in 2020. With only less than six months left for the 2024 presidential election, here are nine celebrities who announced their decision not to vote for the 81-year-old incumbent in November.
1. Dwayne Johnson
Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson, who endorsed Biden's 2020 presidential race, refused to back his reelection bid. When questioned about a potential endorsement this year, the 'Fast & Furious' star said, "The endorsement that I made years ago with Biden was one I thought was the best decision for me at that time." He added, "Am I gonna do that again this year? That answer is no... I'm not gonna do that," in an April interview on 'Fox & Friends'.
2. Michael Rapaport
Comedian Michael Rapaport, who was previously critical of Trump, turned against Biden due to the POTUS' approach to rising antisemitism in the US. During an episode of his podcast in November 2023, the actor announced he would vote for Trump in the 2024 election. "If it comes down to pig d*** Donald Trump and Smokin' Joe Biden, I'm sorry. I am sorry. Voting for pig d*** Donald Trump is on the table. I'm sorry!" Rapaport declared.
3. Macklemore
Musician Macklemore announced his decision to not vote for Biden through a song written in response to the pro-Palestine protests at Columbia University. The song is titled 'Hind's Hall' after the name of the building the protesters violently took over. "The blood is on your hands, Biden, we can see it all...and f**k no, I'm not voting for you in the fall," he said in the song.
4. Jason Aldean
Singer Jason Aldean is another famous figure who chose Trump over Biden. He stated his decision to back the former president in the upcoming election during an interview with the Los Angeles Times in 2023. "It wouldn't hurt my feelings. I like Trump. Hung out with him a couple times — been very cool to me. I have nothing but good things to say about the guy," the 'Dirt Road Anthem' singer said.
5. Jon Voight
Academy Award winner Jon Voight has been vocal about his support for Trump for the past few years. In February, the GOP White House hopeful reposted a video of the actor where he praised Trump as "the only man that can destroy the negative propaganda that has been sworn into this office". He further said in the video, "Believe. That the man that can help this nation, the one man that was ridiculed, destroyed as Jesus, Trump, can come back and save the American dream for all. And make America great with the dignity, with the power of who she is." Voight, who previously compared Trump to Mother Teresa, once declared him "the greatest president".
6. Kid Rock
Musician Kid Rock also won't cast his vote for Biden because of his unwavering support towards Trump. Rock, born Robert James Ritchie, often accompanies the ex-president at events and is presently marketing pro-Trump merchandise.
7. Roseanne Barr
Roseanne Barr is another celebrity who would never vote for Biden due to her association with the MAGA community. She voted for Trump in 2016 and is still continuing to support him. In a late 2023 appearance at right-wing streaming channel Real America's Voice, the actress excitedly spoke about her meeting with the real estate mogul. "I lost control of myself," she said about the rendezvous. Barr also recalled their conversation after a hug, when she said to Trump, "We know that you're the only one with balls."
8. Kanye West
Ye, previously known as Kanye West, would also not cast his vote for Biden despite his tumultuous relationship with Trump. He bonded with the ex-president over a few phone calls and had dinner at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida. Ye, who ran for president in 2024, said that Trump "screemed" at him over his intent to run for office. But after dropping out of the race in October 2023, he declared he would still support the MAGA spearhead.
9. Sexyy Red
Rapper Sexyy Red also chose Trump over Biden despite the incumbent's wide popularity among Black communities in the 2020 election. In an interview with Theo Von's podcast last year, she accused the president of doing nothing for the Black community. Stating she "liked Trump," the rapper said, "I ain't gonna lie … the Black community was not f***in' with Trump," she said. "But when all that s*** came out, Black people forgave him. Biden ain't did nothin' for us. That n***** Trump passin' out money!"
