LAS VEGAS, NEVADA: Celine Dion, the iconic music superstar, has revealed to close friends that "visions" of performing again have inspired her highly anticipated return to Las Vegas.

At 56, Dion is set to make a triumphant comeback despite her ongoing battle with Stiff Person Syndrome (SPS).

A close friend of Dion shared with The US Sun that the singer believes the energy of performing live again will aid in her partial healing.

The singer told a close friend that she "had visions of returning to sing", which triggered her desire for a comeback.

“It is like manifesting her comeback – asserting her will with her body,” the insider stated. Dion has been motivated by the thought of reconnecting with her fans and the city she helped rejuvenate in the 2000s.

Dion is expected to kick off her performances this fall at the Resorts World Theatre in Las Vegas. The shows are rumored to coincide with the Formula One Las Vegas Grand Prix, scheduled for November 21–23.

Her last live performance was on March 8, 2020, in Newark, New Jersey, part of her Courage world tour, which was halted due to the Covid pandemic and her SPS diagnosis.

'I Am Celine' raises awareness about Stiff Person Syndrome

Dion's recent Amazon documentary, 'I Am Celine', has raised significant awareness about Stiff Person Syndrome, showcasing her struggles and triumphs.

The documentary premiered on June 17 in New York City and has been available on Amazon Prime Video since June 25. It has received critical acclaim for its honest portrayal of Dion's battle with SPS and her enduring spirit.

In her documentary, Dion shared the importance of showing the world her true self despite her illness. She expressed that it was "vital" to be open about her condition, hoping to help others who might be struggling. “If one person can be helped, then sharing my experience on camera was worth it,” she said.

The overwhelming support from fans and the success of 'I Am Celine' have further fueled Dion’s determination. She is currently able to perform for 70 minutes a day and is working towards being ready for her Las Vegas shows by November.
