LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The Canadian singer, often hailed as the 'Queen of Power Ballads', has amassed millions of followers’ support following the release of the trailer for her documentary 'I Am: Celine Dion'.

The documentary is scheduled for a global premiere on June 25 via the Amazon Prime Video platform as per DailyMail.

Dion is known for her powerful and technically skilled vocals, as well as her diverse musical repertoire spanning genres like pop, rock, R&B, gospel, and classical music.

According to the 'I AM: CELINE DION' trailer, it offers a candid and introspective look into the iconic superstar's battle with a life-altering illness. Serving as a heartfelt tribute to her fans, this inspiring documentary showcases the music that has shaped her life while also celebrating the resilience of the human spirit.

Celine Dion seems to upset while opening up about her health crisis



 

In an emotional clip, the 56-year-old music icon becomes visibly upset as she opens up about how her diagnosis of stiff person syndrome has impacted her ability to perform after 2 years.

The trailer captured the sneak peek of a 911 call playing against the backdrop of Las Vegas, where Celine performed her iconic residency until June 2019. While the reason for the call and its timing remains unclear, it's likely linked to her struggles with stiff person syndrome.

Celine first disclosed her diagnosis of the degenerative disease in December 2022. Stiff person syndrome, also known as stiff-man syndrome, is a rare neurological disorder characterized by progressive muscle stiffness and spasms, which can cause significant pain and worsen over time. While the stiffness primarily affects the torso muscles, it can also extend to the arms and legs.

During the trailer, as footage of Celine recording music and performing live over the years is shared, she can be heard saying, "When your voice brings you joy, you're the best of yourself. I need my instrument."

She continued, "I've been diagnosed with a very rare neurological disorder and I wasn't ready to say anything before, but I'm ready now I see my life and I love every piece of it."

Reflecting on her live performances, Dion remarked, "It's not hard to do a show, you know, it's hard to cancel a show. I'm working hard every day, but I have to admit, it's been a struggle. I miss it so much. The people... I miss them."

As the trailer concluded in 2 minutes, Dion added, "If I can't run, I'll walk. If I can't walk, I'll crawl. But I won't stop, she won't stop."

Additionally, Towards the conclusion of the trailer, themother-of-three assured her fans that she is determined to preserve her voice, which she describes as 'the conductor of my life.'
