'That guitar is plenty real': Fans elated to see Celine Dion playing air guitar during Boston Bruins game
BOSTON, MASSACHUSETTS: Celine Dion is not shy of showing off her hidden skills despite her stiff person syndrome diagnosis. The 'Queen of Power Ballads' made a surprise appearance at the Boston Bruins game at TD Garden with her 13-year-old twin sons, Nelson and Eddy, on Thursday night, March 21, and was caught by the cameras singing and dancing along to the Bon Jovi hit 'Livin' on a Prayer.'
The clip was also shared on social media which showed the legendary singer standing up and playing air guitar for the crowd, PageSix reports.
Celine Dion entered the Bruins’ locker room before the game
Before the game, Dion and her sons stopped by the Bruin's locker room to read off Boston's starting lineup as well as give them a pre-game pep talk. She was introduced by Bruins head coach and fellow Quebec native Jim Montgomery.

The team shared a clip of the moment which showed Dion singing and making jokes as she named Boston's starting six. "Thank you so much for getting ready for me tonight," she teased one player who still wasn't dressed.

Celine Dion is a big ice hockey fan
The 'My Heart Will Go On' singer is a big ice hockey fan. She met with the NHL's Edmonton Oilers in their locker room ahead of their game against the Vegas Golden Knights in Sin City on February 6. The team shared a clip on Instagram the next month which showed Dion joking about how "exciting" it was for her to meet the athletes.
“[It’s] exciting to me — those big guys, like, just on flat shoes,” she said in the video, adding, "I cannot imagine on skates with all the equipment going like.” In February, Dion also made a surprise appearance at the 2024 Grammys amid her stiff-person syndrome diagnosis.

Celine Dion made her first public appearance in four years last year
The Canadian singer made her first public appearance in four years in November 2023 when she showed up at the Montreal Canadiens’ game in Las Vegas with her twins and firstborn son, 23-year-old Rene-Charles Angelil.
Celine Dion has previously made it clear to her fans that she is “determined” to perform again despite the health setbacks she has experienced since her 2022 diagnosis.
“Trying to overcome this autoimmune disorder has been one of the hardest experiences of my life, but I remain determined to one day get back onto the stage and to live as normal of a life as possible,” she wrote on Instagram in March. “I am deeply grateful for the love and support from my kids, family, team and all of you!” she added alongside a photo with her sons.
