PARIS, FRANCE: Singer Celine Dion is back. The 56-year-old artist made a rare appearance ahead of her concerts next month. She made this public appearance after two long years.
'My Heart Will Go On' singer was greeted with loud cheers from the crowd as she arrived at the Royal Monceau hotel on Friday morning, August 28. For those unaware, Dion has lived with stiff person syndrome (SPS) since she was diagnosed in 2022. It seems she is all set to return to the Paris stage in September.

The singer looked chic in a beige trench coat, oversized sunglasses and her signature slicked-back bun as she greeted fans and photographers outside her hotel.
Speaking about her concert, Dion announced in March that she would be performing 16 shows at Paris La Defense Arena beginning September 12. As per reports, all 16 shows sold out and an additional 10 dates have been added for May 2027.
As per E! News, Dion, referring to Paris as her second home, said she was a bit nervous after such a long break but kept her opening song a secret.

“It’s a story that keeps on going, and I’ve always felt supported from day one,” Celine told BFM TV. “It’s true that this is my second home,” she added. “I appreciate that you’re here, thank you very much.”
Health issues and last performance of Celine Dion
The return of Dion comes after years when the artist was dealing with a serious neurological condition. Back in December 2022, Dion said that she was diagnosed with Stiff Person Syndrome (SPS), which is a rare neurological illness that causes muscle stiffness and spasticity.
According to the artist, her health issue has been affecting her ability to sing and perform the way she used to. Because of these issues, the singer had to cancel concerts. Before her illness, she performed her last show of the tour on March 8 2020, in Newark, New Jersey.
The performance was part of the 'Courage World Tour' that had already been delayed because of the COVID-19 virus. In December 2022, Celine Dion shared her illness.
Her health condition ultimately forced her to cancel the remaining dates of her 'Courage World Tour' in May 2023. She even shared a documentary showing how badly she suffered from the syndrome and the pain she had to endure.
