Chad Lowe’s father Chuck pays tribute to granddaughter Fiona after her death at 13
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Chad Lowe's father, Chuck Lowe, has mourned the death of his granddaughter, Fiona, who died at the age of 13.
The teenager's death was announced by her family in a statement on September 29. However, the cause of her death has not been disclosed.

Taking to Instagram on Wednesday, September 30, Chuck shared a photo of his late granddaughter wearing a pink swimsuit while swimming in a pool. She can be seen looking directly at the camera.
Her grandfather simply wrote in the caption, “Rest in peace sweet Fiona.”
Chad Lowe's family remembers Fiona after her death
The tribute came after the devastated family announced her death in a statement that read, “We are deeply heartbroken by the loss of our beloved Fiona. She was a loving young girl who was smart, creative and loved to dance.”
“She was adored by her sisters and she was deeply loved by her parents. In fact, she was the light of our lives. Her passing is devastating for our entire family and we ask for prayers and privacy at this time,” it added.
Chad is also the father of two more daughters, Mabel Painter, 17, and Nixie Barbara, 10, whom he shares with his wife, Kim Painter.
Fiona Lowe's school honors her dance passion
Following the tragedy, PEOPLE, citing a source reported that Fiona’s school and community have decided to honor her.
The source shared, “The school and community are very inclusive, artistic, and a warm place. Parents are friends and most are involved with the school. This is a devastating time for the community. The Lowe family is very involved and are at many school functions.”
“Fiona was sweet, quiet and kind. Dance was her biggest passion, she had a very artistic soul. She was always kind to other students. Many of her friends are out today grieving,” they added.
Chad Lowe reflects on raising three daughters
This comes a few years after Chad spoke about his experience of being a girl dad.
He said on the 'Still Here' podcast, “I’m a girl dad. It’s so interesting because [I’m] always wanting to have my own experiences and not live in the shadow or follow in the footsteps of somebody. I get the experience of being a girl dad. I feel like having daughters is such an incredible privilege.”
“I know that there are struggles. And now it’s taken what I’ve known intellectually, and it’s put it in my heart because I now have three daughters. And so, I look at the world from really their perspective and I see the world and a lot of the injustices in the world from their perspective,” the 58-year-old actor added in 2024.
