OREM, UTAH: Erika Kirk has shared her feelings about what she wants to happen to the man accused of killing her husband, Charlie Kirk.

The 36-year-old widow opened up in an interview with The New York Times on Sunday, September 21, making clear she is not interested in deciding the fate of the suspected shooter.

Erika Kirk calls Charlie Kirk’s death part of ‘God’s plan’

Erika Kirk revealed she was not interested in seeking the death penalty for Tyler Robinson, accused of shooting Kirk.

“I’m a strong believer that this was God’s plan,” she said in the interview. “And it’s so clear-cut. It couldn’t be more Charlie,” Erika said.

Erika explained that many people have asked her if she wanted to see the death penalty pursued against Tyler Robinson, the 22-year-old suspect accused in the shooting.

“I’ve had so many people ask, ‘Do you feel anger toward this man? Like, do you want to seek the death penalty?’ I’ll be honest. I told our lawyer, I want the government to decide this," Erika shared.

"I do not want that man’s blood on my ledger. Because when I get to heaven, and Jesus is like: ‘Uh, eye for an eye? Is that how we do it?’ And that keeps me from being in heaven, from being with Charlie?” Erika said during the interview.
