WASHINGTON, DC: Amid mounting tensions surrounding the anti-ICE protest, the Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche pledged to track down the protestor who threatened to kill an ICE agent’s family as the administration ramps up its efforts to clamp down on threats against Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents.

The AG’s staunch statement comes amid stormy anti-ICE protests that occurred outside a Newark immigrant detention centre.

The protest, later turned violent, took the form of a clash with federal officers attempting to blockade the front entrance of the facility on the fifth day of demonstrations.

Todd Blanche promises action over threats

Acting AG’s strong- worded commitment came after a video featuring a man threatening to kill an ICE agent, his family, and his children went viral. Blanche said that the individual who threatened the officer during a clash outside Newark’s Delaney Hall will be caught and charged.

“That’s a federal crime. Not only threatening the ICE officer, but think about how disgusting this individual is by threatening his wife and his children with death,” Blanche told Fox News after watching the disturbing clip this week.

“That is disgusting … and we see his face and I promise you we will find him, and when we find him, we will arrest him,” Blanche added.

Blanche wondered why the protestor targeted the ICE agent, who was “just doing his job standing there.”

Protester issued death threats amid ICE demonstration

The agitator threatened an officer during the clash between protestors and the agents amid a demonstration outside Newark’s Delaney Hall after activists claimed that ICE detainees are on a hunger strike due to deplorable living conditions, which have sparked violent clashes with law enforcement this week.

“I’ll kill your whole f–king family. Your whole f–king family is dead. Your children, your wife, all dead,” the bearded protester, who had protective goggles over his eyes said.

“I have your face, motherf–ker. You’re dead. Dead,” the unhinged man said in the clip posted on social media.

The protest, which began on Memorial Day, has continued for several days.

On Thursday night, nine people were arrested after roughly 100 protesters descended on the detention center, where they “bit, kicked, and punched law enforcement officers,” according to Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin.
