LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Chris Rock has shared his definition of making it in Hollywood. According to the 61-year-old comedian, who has spent years in the entertainment industry, “If you got no love, you’re broke.”

Chris Rock spoke to Variety at the ‘Misty Green’ premiere at the New York Film Festival on Saturday, September 26, where he said, “Most people don’t make it, quote unquote, in Hollywood. Making it is, to me, where I’m at right now: my daughter having great kids.”
“Having love in your life. If you got no love, you’re broke. That’s making it. All this other stuff, it’s just a job at the end of the day,” the ‘The Longest Yard’ actor added.

Rock then went on to discuss his character and Rosalind Eleazar’s role in the upcoming movie, which is set to release on October 9.
He will portray a director, while Eleazar will play an actress struggling to make a comeback.
In the movie, the two characters will bond over “their shared inability to remain faithful in relationships, playing into a familiar stereotype about Hollywood life,” according to Variety.
“I don’t think it’s a Hollywood thing, it’s just life. Our two characters bond over our infidelities. And, yeah, it’s a lot. But it’s show business, man. Rock ’n’ roll!” Rock explained.
Other stars who will appear in ‘Misty Green’ include Anna Kendrick, Adam Driver, Daniel Kaluuya, and Topher Grace.
Chris Rock teases 'Grown Ups 3' with bold claim
At the same premiere, Rock also spoke about ‘Grown Ups 3’, which stars his youngest daughter, 22-year-old Zahra. “It’s going so well. We’re having a great time,” he shared, as per PEOPLE.
The ‘Everybody Hates Chris’ star further stated that “it’s gonna blow your mind how good Grown Ups 3 is,” adding that he’s “having fun with everybody” on the set.
Rock shares two daughters with his former wife, Malaak Compton-Rock, whom he divorced in 2016. Their eldest daughter is 24-year-old Lola Simone Rock.

Earlier, Rock revealed how his daughters grew up on the sets of the earlier ‘Grown Ups’ movies.
The first film was released in 2010, while its sequel came out in 2013. Both movies starred Adam Sandler, Kevin James, David Spade, and Salma Hayek.
“It’s weird, my kids kind of grew up on those sets, and now my daughter Zahra’s actually going to be in the new one. Yeah, it’s great times,” he reportedly added.
