Earlier reports claimed that Presley suffered cardiac arrest before his death at a rehabilitation facility in Santa Monica.

“It's the worst thing that could ever happen with family,” he added.
Presley Gerber wanted to raise mental health awareness
Presley was open about his struggles with mental health and addiction.
During a 2023 interview, he reportedly said, “Having struggled with mental health, depression and some other things that come along with that, I think that whether I help one person or a hundred people get out of that place that I was in at one point in my life, that’s all I need to do.”
At the time, he also described mental health as a vital part of his life, saying, “it’s a 24/7 job, and there’s so much to it.”
“That’s really what I want to do: help people, whether you’re depressed, you’re struggling with something that is hurting your body. I mean it could be anything, and there’s no judgment,” Presley added.

Kaia Gerber also praised her older brother in a previous interview for being so open about his struggles.
Calling him an “absolute teacher,” she stated, "My parents for most of our lives were very, very private and didn’t share anything — and now we have this absolute teacher, my brother, who says, ‘I’m gonna be very human for everyone.’"
