LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: When it comes to campaign spending, Kamala Harris sure knows how to rack up the bills.

Her billion-dollar race for the presidency was expensive, to say the least, but wait till you hear how much she blew on private jets alone.

In October, Harris’ campaign splurged a jaw-dropping $2.6 million on private flights, according to recent FEC filings. That’s almost $3 million on fancy air travel in just a couple of weeks, from October 3 to October 15.

It turns out, Kamala Harris has a bit of a soft spot for private jets. The total amount spent on these luxurious flights during her campaign now stands at a whopping $12 million. But that figure might still climb higher as the final bills roll in and get submitted to the FEC.

In her final whirlwind tour across the country with running mate Tim Walz, Harris’ campaign paid a staggering $2.2 million to Private Jet Services Group, plus another $430,000 to Advanced Aviation Team.

The heavy reliance on private jets hasn’t gone unnoticed, especially since private air travel is notorious for its carbon emissions. Remember, Harris has been one of the loudest voices warning Americans about reducing carbon footprints to combat climate change.

The irony isn’t lost on critics like Benji Backer, founder of the American Conservation Coalition.

“Kamala Harris and a lot of pro-climate leaders have a lot of hypocrisy with the words that they state and the realities they must think are real," Backer told the New York Post.

He added, “We need sensible solutions on environment and climate issues, but we’re not going to get them when there’s so much hypocrisy coming from the elitists that everyone else needs to change their lives except for them.”

Expensive tastes of Kamala Harris' campaign: From set designs to hotel stays

Of course, private jets weren’t the only indulgences. Kamala Harris’ campaign seemed to have a taste for the finer things.

There was a lavish six-figure bill just for the set design of her appearance on the 'Call Her Daddy' podcast, which was rather underwhelming. Oh, and let’s not forget the $1 million they shelled out to Oprah Winfrey's production company.

And when it comes to food, Harris’ team really went all out. They reportedly spent over $12,000 on DoorDash and UberEats orders, making sure they were well-fed on the campaign trail. They didn’t stop there – another $12,000 was spent on ice cream, including favorites like Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams and Sweet Lucy’s Ice Cream.

It sounds like every stop on the campaign trail came with a side of something sweet.

As for accommodations, they certainly didn’t settle for budget stays. The campaign splashed out $62,722 on room and board at the posh Hotel Du Pont in Wilmington, Delaware. They also dropped nearly $10,000 at Pete Davidson’s Pebble Bar, a trendy spot near Rockefeller Center in New York City.

Known for its association with 'Saturday Night Live' cast members, the bar replaced a longtime pub affectionately called Studio 1-H by the 'SNL' crew.

With spending like this, it’s no wonder people are questioning the priorities of the Harris campaign. GOP consultant Erin Perrine didn’t hold back, telling the New York Post, “Nobody should be shocked Kamala Harris is not being sworn in on January 20.”

According to Perrine, it seemed like the campaign just "wanted to have a party" rather than getting their message across.

“That’s not how it works,” he added.

Internet slams Kamala Harris over private jet spends

Many on social media excoriated Kamala Harris after it emerged she had spent millions of campaign dollars on private jets.

"Wow that’s a big carbon footprint. Not very green of her," one posted on X.

"Yet Kamala couldn't manage to fly to Joe Rogan to do his podcast?" another wondered.

"Friendly reminder: This was the party that was pushing the climate change agenda," a third user pointed out.

"Great use of campaign money, right donors?" read a comment.

"Socialists love spending other people’s money," someone else offered.

"Her campaign was nothing but a grift. [A] giant cash grab," another chimed in.

Beyond the lavish perks and travel, the campaign funneled serious money into liberal causes. Harris’ campaign paid out $5.6 million to 24 liberal groups, with a major portion going to Black and Latino organizations in key swing states. But even this wasn’t the biggest chunk of her campaign budget.

The campaign’s largest expenditure was directed towards Media Buying & Analytics LLC, which received a staggering $281 million for ad buys and productions. In total, Harris ended up spending nearly $1.5 billion on her presidential run in just over 100 days.

However, despite all the extravagant spending and subsequent backlash, there’s one thing Harris’ campaign didn’t end with: debt. Contrary to rumors swirling around, FEC filings reveal that Harris finished her campaign with $0 in outstanding debt.
