OLATHE, KANSAS: A protester was removed from a Kansas event featuring Vice President JD Vance after interrupting his speech and shouting comments that were not immediately clear.

Supporters responded with a “USA” chant as security pushed the man through the crowd and escorted him out of the venue on Monday, September 14.

Security personnel quickly stepped in and removed him from the event. As the man was pushed through the crowd toward the doors, people around him waved him off.

Vance supporters then broke into a “USA” chant for a time as the protester was escorted out.

Vance acknowledged the interruption and accused the protester of coming to the event to make false claims about Sen Roger Marshall.

“Now this guy, this guy, I'm telling you, ladies and gentlemen, here's what happened. He decided to come in and lie about my very dear friend Doc Marshall,” Vance said.

He then defended Marshall’s record in the Senate. “Because the reality is that Doc Marshall has stood up for everyday Americans every single day he's been in the United States Senate,” Vance added.

The vice president’s response brought the focus back to Marshall, whom he was supporting during his visit to Kansas.

JD Vance recalls past protest during Kansas speech

Vance also brought up an earlier protest during another speech, drawing a comparison with the interruption in Olathe. He said the protester at the previous event had “the common courtesy to bring a Mexican flag so we know where he stood.”

The comment came as Vance addressed the latest disruption and the person who had interrupted his remarks in Kansas.

The Olathe event was held at Webco Manufacturing and organized by Make America Great Again Inc, a super PAC that supports Republican candidates.

Vance’s Kansas City metro visit centered partly on new anti-fraud operations and support for Marshall.
