WASHINGTON, DC: Dana White is making a surprise announcement regarding the future of his political career, just weeks after his friend and Republican candidate Donald Trump emerged as the president-elect.

The UFC president, 55, has been a vocal supporter of the 78-year-old former POTUS and supported him irrevocably in his re-election bid.

About a fortnight after participating in Trump’s victory campaign after he defeated Vice President Kamala Harris at the ballot box, White declared that he was “done” with politics.

Dana White declares his latest stance on politics

Speaking to The New Yorker, Dana White clarified his future in politics, saying, “I'm never f***ing doing this again.”

“I want nothing to do with this s***. It's gross,” shared Trump’s longtime supporter, before adding, “It's disgusting. I want nothing to do with politics," per Daily Mail

Judging by White’s words, his foray into politics was limited to his support for the GOP presidential candidate, Donald Trump only. As the 45th US President ensured his return to the White House for a second term again, White clarified his stance.

Despite declaring his hatred for politics, White was not being a miser while praising Trump in his interview with The New Yorker.

Hailing the upcoming president’s grit, White declared, “Donald Trump is tougher and more bada** than anybody.”

“You can only pray that you're a quarter of the man that Donald Trump was when a guy tried to take seven shots at his head with a high powered rifle with a f**king scope on it,” added White.

Following the election result, speculations were rampant about White joining the politics. Fans even speculated whether the Power Slap owner would join the Trump administration.

He, however, dismissed the rumor during an interview with Sports Business Journal, while referencing his love for UFC - which is a global mixed martial arts organization.

Highlighting the difference, White made his stance clear, "That is a fact. I'm in the fight business, which is the dirtiest, nastiest business. We all hate each other, and we're all fighting every day. There's nothing dirtier than politics - it's disgusting, it's gross. I want nothing to do with it."

Donald Trump attended UFC fight nights

As Dana White was a constant fixture beside Donald Trump during his election campaigns, Trump too reciprocated the friendship.

After his win, he gave the mic to White who went on to praise Trump, and subsequently UFC during the victory speech.

More recently, Trump, along with White and billionaire businessman Elon Musk attended the UFC 309 at Madison Square Garden on Saturday, November 16.

White even praised the former president’s involvement with the UFC, hailing, “As the UFC has grown, there's been a lot of people that have jumped on the bandwagon and became fans,” before adding, “Trump was there from the beginning.”
