BRONX, NEW YORK: Former president Donald Trump went viral over social media for his odd gait while visiting a barbershop in the Bronx, New York, on Thursday, October 17, reported OK! Magazine.

The clip showed the 78-year-old GOP nominee taking a wide stance and uneven steps while walking between two rows of people at the Knockout Barber Shop, which added fuel to the ongoing concerns about his health.

Since 81-year-old incumbent Joe Biden dropped out of the presidential race back in July, Trump has been the oldest major party nominee to run for the White House in the history of the United States. His mental and physical health has been questioned for months, with Democratic nominee Kamala Harris, 59, making public a clean bill of health to contrast between them.

Donald Trump has been canceling planned interviews

An insider source shared with OK! Magazine that Donald Trump had canceled multiple interviews, including one on 'The Shade Room' on account of his health. Earlier this week, a Trump adviser reportedly told the show's producers that the business tycoon was "exhausted and refusing (some) interviews, but that could change" at any time.

Former Trump aide Omarosa Manigault Newman, who worked with him both on his show 'The Apprentice' and in the White House, recently shared on CNN, "The reason Donald Trump is canceling these interviews is when he starts to stumble, he starts to pivot."

"He wants to talk about you. He’ll start attacking you, Laura, instead of talking about policy issues because he can’t recall what they are," she explained to network host Laura Coates. "He cannot repeat consistently his position on key issues… and that’s what you’re seeing in his decline right now."

She further claimed that the former president forced physicians to tweak his health reports from 2015 onward.

Internet trolls Donald Trump for his walk

Trolls on the social media platform X reacting to the viral video of Donald Trump's walk in the barbershop trolled the former president over his gait. The following tweets demonstrate their takes.

"Dude's gait is worse than a peg-leged pirate sailing through some rough sea," wrote a user.

"Like literally on his last legs," quipped another.

"He seems very unsteady. I could see that if he were walking on a boat, but he is walking through a barber shop," pointed out someone else.

"An unsteady gait is a common issue for Dementia patients. The foam mats exacerbated his balance issues," shared a user.

"Heart disease and stroke can cause balance issues," noted one user.

"Trump is canceling appearances, I’m convinced the campaign has run out of money to pay people to attend his events," jibed a user.

"Trump is going downhill," chided yet another.
